Summary: Best baby Book
Review: A friend gave me this book as a baby gift when my son was 2 months old. I thought he was too young for it as the recommended age is 3-5. He loves this book. He loves touching the pages and learned how to turn the pages of the book by 6 months. This is a great book. As a pediatrician and mom, i would recommend it both for my son's love for it and the experience of the different textures.

Summary: The nanny gives this book a definite 5 stars!!!
Review: I began taking care of a little boy when he was just over a year old and from the first day when he pulled this book out, until almost 2 years later, it's STILL his all-time favorite book! He absolutely loves to feel all of the different textures and blow on the feathers! This book is always his first choice, even though we've probably read it at least 100 times. He still loves it and yes, especially the CRINKLY BUG!! Coming in second are the sticky bugs! I would recommend it to all parents and nannies!

Summary: 10 month old's favorite book!
Review: My 10 month old LOVES this book. It is the only one she consistently pulls from the bookshelf and pages through. As other reviewers have noted, parental attention at this age is wise because the book has some small parts that could come loose. But even so, it's worth getting. My daughter loves it far more than any of the other "touch and feel" books she has. It's a winner!

Summary: A big time favorite
Review: My 9 month old loves this book! I bought it thinking I would have to store it for a while, due to the delicate nature of some of the items to feel. I'm so glad I took it out. Every time I turn a page my son goes straight to the "feely" part of the bug and touches, rubs, flicks, etc. As long as you supervise your child, I think this book can be wonderful for any age. The bugs also make great noises when you touch them (the crinkly bugs "crinkle"...)

Summary: My daughter's all time favorite book
Review: My daughter got this book as a gift when she was just a few months old and it is her all time favorite book which with the amount of books she has is saying alot. She has lots of touchy feely books but this one is the one she always asks for. Our copy is getting dogeared but it has held up well for such a loved book. I am not a big fan of bugs and cannot really explain her extraordinary devotion to this book. She just loves it and that is good enough for me. By the way she loves all of the bug books in this series. Check out Bugs that go Bump in the Night with the cool bug mask in the back.

Summary: Great for toddler sensory development...but
Review: This book has many interesting textures and colorful pictures. Kids love it...but, so you know, the drawbacks are: 1. kids will yank out the feathers on the feathery bug page 2. if you have a "busy" child they will likely tear the pages. The pages have gaping areas where the textures come through; great for little fingers to YANK! 3. There is NO story line at all...just a one word adjective + the word "bug" on every page BUT, my son loves it...it just won't last for the nect child.

Summary: Fantastic!!!
Review: This book is about touching and feeling and textures. What a great idea! My son (age 2) still loves this book and now he loves sharing it with his little sister (9 months). He helps her feel the sticky bugs and tells her 'soft' on the velvety bugs. What a simple idea that makes for a lot of fun.

I like books that you can build on. I like the fact that we talk about how my new Christmas dress feels like his velvety bug or the lace on my daughters collar is the same as the lace in the book only a different color.

Great.

Review: We are on our third copy of this book, the kids love it so much, it makes a great gift for a two year old.
