Summary: If You Want To Be Eaten By A Monster Read This Book!
Review: Do you want to be eaten by a monster? Junie B. Jones has a monster under her bed but she can't think of a way to get rid of it. I like this book because the pictures can be funny. One of the important events in this book is when Junie B. has picture day. I learned that you shouldn't always trust what other people say. Will Junie B. ever get rid of the monster? Read Junie B. Jones Has a Monster Under her bed by Barbra Parks to find out!

Summary: Monster! Monster!! Monster!!! NOT
Review: I am 8 years old and Iiked the parts where Junie B Jones kept going into her mom and dads room. This was a fun and easy book for me to read but I think it is for littler kids, not third grade. I also have read Junie B Jones and the Stupid Smelly Bus and I liked it more. Summary: Do you remember what it was like to be in Kindergarten?
Review: I am a first grade teacher in Seattle. A friend of mine showed me this book and insisted on reading me parts of it. I don't think I have ever laughed so hard at a children's "chapter" book. Barbara Parks' description of the cheese man, the poor fellow whose job it is to take school pictures, is delightful. I took the book to school the next day to share with the other teachers. I am now buying several other Junie B. Jones books for my students to take home to read to their parents. Margaret

Summary: The Kids? Heck! I'll keep buying them for myself.
Review: I just bought this book for my 4 year old to read to her instead of having to read another Disney Princess story. This is the first Junie B. Jones story we have ever read. It will not be the last. I laughed so hard that it took a good 5 minutes to recover so I could read more to her. I think my favorite was when she told the teacher "Mrs." that she had nice shoes. My daughter loved the names of Junie B's "friends" especially Philip Johnny Bob, the elephant. It just felt so good NOT to have to read another story about being a PRINCESS. I will keep buying these even if I just read them to myself. I don't remember when I laughed so hard. Excuse me, I need to go back for another good laugh. Buy this book. You won't regret it.

Review: I read this book aloud to my 7 year old son. I'm not sure who laughed the most! We really enjoy these books as fiction read alouds in our homeschool. We know that Junie B doesn't speak proper english but it gives us a chance to talk about correct ways to speak.

Summary: " Junie B. can't sleep!"
Review: it was picture day in room nine. and paulie allen puffer has convinced junie b. that there is a monster under everybody's bed."why do you think that mommy's and daddy's sleep together? to keep each other safe from the monster!" paulie allen puffer finally convinced junie b. then to top it off, her best friend, that grace, told her that there really was a monster under her bed! so junie b. decided that her mom could bash it on the head. but when her mom got home she said that there was no such thing as a monster and that she wouldn't bash the monster over the head with the broom. the next day that grace told her that her mom got rid of her monster. she sucked it up in the vacuum cleaner, and then she put the vacuum bag with the monster in it and she compacted it! sooo...... to find out more about this book, go to your local library and check out JUNIE B. JONES HAS A MONSTER UNDER HER BED BY BARBARA PARK ILLUSTRATED BY DENISE BRUNKUS.

Summary: It scared my cousin! Not so good!!!!!
Review: This book makes kids think monsters are under their beds, waiting to eat their toes after they're asleep and put the kid's head in its mouth. This story isn't the best for little kids. My little 6-year-old cousin, Ginny, got this book and I read it to her. She got scared. I do not like this book. It can scare kids, it scared me a bit. I like reading Junie B., but I don't like Monster Under the Bed. It isn't as good as the others. From, Indy J., Third Grader

Summary: "Eek! There's a MONSTER under my bed!!" Pathetic!!!!!!!!
Review: This is the first and last Junie B. book I will read to my 5-year-old. I can't read straight from the book with a good conscience because the grammar is so poor. I don't want to introduce my articulate kindergartener to such a horrible use of language, so I've had to translate to proper grammar while reading. That's just not much fun.

If you want to reinforce bad grammar habits while reading to your child, this is the book for you.
