Summary: SLJ got it wrong this time
Review: as a children's librarian for a large public library i get to buy thousands a books every year and i often turn to school library journal for reviews. i was so surprised at their pan of this book though. i loved it and i think it would be a fantastic read aloud. the illustrations may be a little flat but the rhyme and humor more than make up for it. a lot of libraries don't buy books that get marginal reviews in slj--i hope people will request that their local library get this one. it's a gem!

Review: I've haven't laughed so hard with my kids during bedtime storyreading yet. The story is superb and the rhymes are so easy and fun to read aloud. Best of all, the beautifully crafted illustrations are masterful and difficult to remove your eyes from. Holiday books like these make me wish my kids would never stop believing in Santa.

Review: It's almost the end of January and I'm still reading this Christmas book almost nightly to my 4 year old granddaughter. She LOVES it! The rhymes are great and there are bright and colorful pictures throughout. It has a wonderful message for children of all ages. It will be a book that becomes a Christmas tradition, if she ever lets me put it away until next year! I'll be buying more copies to give as gifts.

Summary: The perfect bedtime read
Review: This book passes the Matthew test. I can't get him to go to bed for anything. But my son has asked me to read this book to him four nights in a row and he laughs harder and harder each time! At this rate, he will start hopping into bed at 6 o'clock just to hear this for his bedtime story! I highly recommend this book!

Review: This had my preschooler "rolling in the aisles" so-to-speak. We love this book and would love to see more like it. It was hardly awkward...it was a ton of fun! I think anyone who doesn't like this one must just be in need of one good un-grump-ification!
