Summary: My First Book Report
Review: I liked the book because it made me excited to learn about history. I felt like I was her-- when she was happy, I was happy. She did alot of neat things in her life. She liked boats and sewing. I learned about Besty Ross.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Betsy Ross: Designer of Our Flag
Review: The author does a good job at portraying what type of a person Betsy Ross was. It is written in a story form which is better because I think children will be more interested in reading it. There isn't much information about her creating the flag until the last chapter however it is enough to give children an idea of what she did for our nation.

Summary: Not Helpful
Review: This book was not very helpful in doing my biography report. It spends too much time talking about her life as a 6 year old, and not enough time talking about making the flag. Also, Betsy Ross didn't design the flag -- she sewed the flag. This book was originally written almost 50 years ago and is seriously in need of updating to relate to today's readers.
