Rating: Summary: The Knights of the Reading Circle Review: I am a third grade teacher, and every September I start off the new school year with The Knights of the Kitchen Table. I use the Time Warp Trio to ease my students into sitting quietly, while listening to a story for pleasure. After each chapter the children beg me to read another! Regardless of the academic abilities of my students, every one of them seems to truly enjoy this series. Although it is certainly not worthy of a Newbery Medal, I feel it is a fantastic easier chapter book that serves as a springboard to reading. In fact, The Time Warp Trio books are rarely sitting on the shelves of our school library. They are always in a child's hands. To me that makes it worthy of 5 stars.
Rating: Summary: The book Review: Joe, Fred, and Sam find themselves in the land and time of King Arthur, fighting a black knight, a giant, and a dragon. And it all started with a simple present at Joe's birthday party - a book from his uncle the magician that the boys "accidentally" used. But how will the trio get back???This first book in the Time Warp Trio series is an imaginative, humorous, adventurous book for kids (not just boys) ages 7-11. Everything about the book spells pure fun! The only problem with starting the Time Warp series? You'll want to read them all. So why not do just that? 55 pages with illustrations
Rating: Summary: Funny but not terribly "challenging" Review: My son recently wrote the following mini-review: This, the first of the hilarious Time Warp Trio series, begins with Joe's birthday party. He and his friends, Fred and Same, are doing what you do at a party - stuffing their faces and so on. Joe's uncle always sends him strange magic tricks, hats, capes, etc. for his birthday (because he's a magician for a circus), but nothing is stranger than the gift he sends this year: a blue book with gold and silver mythical designs on it. Fred jerks it from Joe's hands and opens it. On the page are knights and castles. He wishes they could visit medieval times to see the knights, and his wish comes true! The trio finds itself face to face with a huge, mad knight preparing to slice and dice them. Will they escape this medieval world, or will they live a life hundreds of years before their own?
Rating: Summary: The Knights of the kitchen table Review: The Knights of the Kitchen Table is very exciting. When Joe goes to his birthday party he gets a present from his Uncle Joe, Joe the Magnificent. Fred opens the book and he says, "Wouldn't it be cool if we could see all those Knights and real stuff". And then they go into the past and see the Knights. The Black Knight tries to kill them. This story is funny because Sam tells lie to a giant and when the dragon comes he blows fire and when giant odor mixes with dragon fire it blows up and lots of their skin comes down and meat. I recommend this book because it is easy to read and it's hilarious!

Rating: Summary: Knights of the Kitchen Talbe Review: Trevor H. wrote: I rated this book a four because they had a lot of knights and one dragon. They also had a giant, and the giant and dragon were fighting. This book is about a dragon and a giant known as Bleob were fighting near a castle and the three boys almost died at the beginning from the first knight when he struck his lance at them. I would recommend people that like knights, dragons, and giants because they fight a lot with these characters.
Rating: Summary: Knights of the Kitchen Talbe Review: You know, it's a real shame that this book isn't funnier than it is. Somewhere out there, legions of ten-year-olds are chanting my name and wanting blood, but it's true. I cannot tell a lie. This book doesn't hold a candle to Scieszka and Lane's true children's classics like, "The Stinky Cheese Man". It blushes in the face of their inspired "Math's Curse". What went wrong here? Great illustrator. Great author. Put them together for a children's series and you get.... mildly amusing banter and a short plot that stops before it even begins. Oy yoy yoy, say I. So I'm not a fan, and that's okay too. There are plenty of amusing series books out there for people such as myself. But what's my real objection? Well sir, it's just not as funny as I had hoped it would be. My expectations are too high, that's the problem. Will this book teach kids about King Arthur? Maybe. Maybe not. In any case, it's a droll little piece of fluff without much substance.
Rating: Summary: A humorous book makes a good book!!! Review: You should buy this book because it kept me reading page after page, chapter after chapter. The only bad thing about this book is that there was a boring beginning, like a lot of books do. It started out with three kids walking home from school when they find a book, open it and become characters in the book. I really liked the rest of the book because it was very funny and adventurous
