Rating: Summary: Conversation Starter Review: I really enjoyed sharing this book with my pre-schooler because it got us talking about feelings and the words associated with different feelings. My daughter really likes looking at all the pictures of the kids. And I'm sure it's a book that will grow with us as she is able to discuss more of the feelings in the book. I think teaching children about emotions starts with building vocabulary. Great book to get the conversations started.

Rating: Summary: Fantastic Learning Tool Review: I used this book as a vocabulary and alphabet learning tool for my Kindergartners. The book's excellent photography of each feeling along with the very realistic paragraphs helped my students expand their vocabulary. We were able to use words such as proud, confused,... delighted in our daily conversations. This is one alphabet book for every teacher's collection.

Rating: Summary: Creative, Imaginative, Fun, and Challenging Review: This book by Bonnie Hausman, with the participation of her real first grade class, shows a wonderful sensitivity to the ways children learn about and reveal feelings. It is a delightful book for a wide age range of children, from very young children just learning the alphabet to elementary children just learning to read. There are fun riddles and puzzles for children at different levels to enjoy, and can be a wonderful accompaniment to parent/child conversations about feelings. The text is original, the photos are fabulous. Our family has thoroughly enjoyed this book, and everyone we've showed it to wants a copy!
