Rating: Summary: I LOVE THIS BOOK...and the editors Review: (...) I understand that parents have a right to monitor what their child is reading (and I think its great that parents do that), but really this book could be an opportunity to talk to you children about Homosexuality (maybe not in those words exactly), and begin to prepare the for the world full of different people with a varity of lifestyles. Isn't that what this book is really about. Isn't that the purpose of childrens book to entertain, but also to teach them lessons, and ecourage conversations with their parents. Can we afford to be so narrow minded with our future generations?
Rating: Summary: It's a book not an affront to the catholic church Review: ...This is a children's book...if you want a book for you child that brings up homosexuality than this is for you. If you do not want to bring up the subject with your child, do not buy it. ...
Rating: Summary: A book every kid should read Review: I'm not a huge fan of the artwork, but the text and heart of the book is wonderful.
Whether you like it or not, your kids will have to deal with people who are not like them. You can teach them to hate what's not like them or you can teach them to accept and even appreciate that the world is made up people who are different in every way imaginable. For the sake of their own mental health, please choose the latter. And when you do, this book is a wonderful way to start teaching them those values.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful book!!! Review: Ignore all the bad reviews and open your minds! This is a wonderful book and story. The authors and illustrators do a beautiful job of telling the story of Prince who cannot find his true love in the choices the Queen provides him. There is no corruption in this book. It is a tale of love and the prince in the story just happens to fall in love with another prince. I have read this to my 3 year old son and he enjoys the story. A very good read for all ages.
Rating: Summary: A Cute Little Story Review: It's an interesting twist on the old "the prince must marry!" tale. The Queen insists that her son marries...he agrees though he's not big on princesses. One after another parades in front of him until Princess Madeline brings along her brother, Prince Lee. Love blooms and they live happily ever after. There is little to worry about this book: it's about two people who meet and fall in love. The fact that they are both princes is irrelevant. The book doesn't say that this is right or wrong, just that it makes them both happy. The Queen just seems pleased that her son is happy ~ again she doesn't judge the situation. Most of the kids I read this to never caught on to the political ramifications of same-sex marriage. They just enjoyed it. The multimedia artwork is a tad distracting, but the kids enjoyed seeing it. Teachers may want to use this book as an introduction to multi-media art and follow it up with similiar crafts

Rating: Summary: Heartwarming... Review: This book gives the reader an opportunity to see the classic Cinderella story in another light. Too many people focus on the sexuality of relationships rather than considering the emotions involved. Luckily, de Haan gives the reader the opportunity to experience the coming together of two people in a loving and natural fashion. This book is heartwarming, comforting, and gives me hope for the future.
Rating: Summary: Heartwarming... Review: This is a charming book that introduces children to the possibility that little kings can do whatever they please - and there's certainly no need to please Mother! Love rears its head in many unusual places, and it's about time an alternative gets some attention. Why does a prince always have to settle down with a princess? We always love it when a price falls for a peasant girl instead, so why not a peasant boy (or another prince)? I do have a complaint about certain critics who believe it is wrong to introduce these concepts to children, though: When two men fall in love and want to live happily ever after, why do you always assume they're gay??? This book has nothing to with sex, and everything to do with love. It's perfect for children, so get your minds out of the gutter!

Rating: Summary: Simple story, revolutionary subject Review: This is an amazing book! Parents everywhere can rejoice over this book. It's a way to explain homosexuality to your children so you can raise an accepting, wonderful human being. Tolernace has to start early and some topics are tough to explain to children. This book is the perfect companion for that!
