Summary: The book should be called "Like Stupid in ten easy leaasons.
Review: One of the great come ons in TV shows now is that they always try to do books on the TV characters and pass them off as books in book stores. These are not books. They are just bill boards in another form. If you want to buy a book, then fine, but not this junk, which is a TV add in printed form.

Summary: A fun read
Review: An entertaining, light book with our favourite fiction mother and daughter taking the lead! This is the first book out of four and it`s really good.It can be read seperately, but the fun continues in "I love you,(...)",so hang in there!

Summary: Only for the uninitiated
Review: As a big fan of the series (yes I'm not ashamed to admit it!), I don't feel a need to buy this, unless I'm looking for collector's items - the reason why this show is such a work of genius is the superb acting by the main cast, and the excellent work done by Amy Sherman Palladino, its creator. So go buy the soundtrack (you won't regret it if you love the show), read the episode transcripts (available at Gilmore-girls.net), buy the dvds (which I won't, because they can't be played where I am - here I insert a tiny plea for the dvd format to be changed :o) Pleeease!)... but there's little point buying the book, unless you haven't seen the first season before. For the rest of us who've spent the past few years captivated by our favourite mother-daughter team, you'll want the magic of the show, the real thing. The story re-written by someone else just doesn't cut it, I'm afraid.

Summary: Oy with the poodles already!
Review: Being a big fan of the show, I had to run out and get this. It's a cute (albeit concise) novel told from Rory's point of view. I've seen every episode, but by reading the book you get to hear Rory's take on some things that occur. Very cute, and I plan on purchasing the rest of the series.

Summary: Ok if you like the TV novels
Review: I'm not a big fan of TV novels, but I thouhgt I'd give this one a try since I like the show so much. It was about what I was expecting. The stories are told from Rory's point of view. In reading the stories you miss out on a lot of classic Loreli moments (Loreli and her mom; Loreli and Luke) It's basically a summary of what you see on the TV screen, but only Rory's side, so it seems like you're missing half of the story. I like the fast paced dialog on the show, but it seems to lose something trying to read it on the page. This was easy reading. If you need a light hearted book I would suggest this.

Summary: Great Book for Gilmore Fans!
Review: Like Mother, Like Daughter is a book based on the first few episodes of the show Gilmore Girls. The stories are told from the point of view of 15-year-old Rory. The book begins with Rory wanting to attend a prep school and her mother Lorelai asking her estranged parents for a loan. The author does a wonderful job of summarizing so many episodes in such a short book. This book is definitely worth it if you're a fan of the show who missed those beginning episodes, or you just want to revisit the classic Gilmore Girls.

Summary: More on The Gilmore Girls
Review: The first book in the Gilmore Girls book series, it is an excellent tie-in to the well-written and smart show. In the show, you get the snappy dialogue, as well as the cozy scenery. In this book, you get the inner thoughts and backstory of the town and more of each character. If you enjoy the show, you can further your viewing enjoyment by reading these tie-in books. This one in particular will introduce you to the characters if you are new to the show or would like more background. Recommended along with other teen series books such as Charmed, Smallville, Queen B Superheroine, and 7th Heaven.

Summary: Amazing! Gilmore Girls is a Winner!
Review: You cannot go wrong with getting this book... Gilmore Girls is an irresistible, humorous, incredible story of a mother and daughter's lives in a small town. Lorelei Gilmore is a young, hip mom, Rory is her very intelligent, fun daughter, and the quick, comedic quips in their conversations alone is the reason to read this novel. In the book, Lorelei works to get Rory into a special private school, and even has to ask her estranged parents for tuition. Wonderful book!Watch the TV show on WB 20, Tuesdays @ 8pm. This book is based on the first episode in the 1st season-- First season reruns will be running next season on Sunday evenings... Lauren Graham and Alexis Blendel play the two actresses... They are exceptional, talented actresses-- Romance, Comedy, Drama-- This show has it all!
