Rating: Summary: Lets put your Blocks Away....the red, the green, the white Review: Although it makes me sad that this book title exists... we absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this book. Great story, wonderful pictures. My Anna usually has me read it a few times a week to her. I like the page that says, "She'll fix herself a cup of tea and let you have a sip" because we do this every now and again. Anna likes the pictures and rhymes.Highly recommend this book. Also check out Time For Bed...same illustrator!
Rating: Summary: Perfect for working Moms Review: I LOVE this book! I loved it even more when my 2 1/2 year old "read" it to me. The book tells a story of what Mom will do with her baby when she comes home from work. Like "Dance down the hall" and "make a cup of tea and give baby a sip". My daughter tries to re-inact the scenes. One of the scenes is of Mommy leaving on a small light at bedtime. My daughter asked about her "small light". We don't normally read books in my rocking chair, but she saw that in the book and wanted to start. We now dance (or fly) down the hall.
Rating: Summary: My favorite read-aloud book! Review: I think I love it even more than my children do (and, like one reader said, it makes me weepy, too). I don't do everything this Mama does when she gets home, but I love that she's shown doing a chore (mending) as well as playing with her child. I especially love that we see them at night--relatively, I spend so few daylight hours with my kids. This book is more reflective of our life than most of the books we read. And it's just so sweet--a comfy-cozy good read.
Rating: Summary: A great book for the working mother Review: My 2yr old daughter loves to hear the story of when mama come home from work. The words read with a nice rhythm which makes it even more enjoyable. She has practically memorized this book and pays close attention to the pictures on each page. After owning it for almost a year, it's still one of her favorite bedtime stories.
Rating: Summary: Great book for us working mothers... Review: This book is so wonderful for us full time working mothers because it teaches our children that even though we need to work, we will still find time to do things with them. It also shows them that its not the quantity of time we spend with them, its the quality of time we have together! Great book!
Rating: Summary: A great book for the working mother Review: This is a heartwarming poem of a book, with big happyillustrations & caring ideas especially focused for the workingwoman. I would have loved having this book in my library when I was a working mom. For when I came home & went through our rituals of baths, pyjamas, reading & prayers. A quiet & loving oasis amid the cacophony of our hectic daily lives. Lovely stuff!
Rating: Summary: A must for working mums Review: This is an all time favorite of myself and my three year old daughter. The gentel reassurance of all the great things parent and child will do together when mama comes home tonight. This book helps calm children after a busy day and shows them all the things that they can look forward to doing with mama. A touching and beautiful book!
Rating: Summary: Every working mother should buy this book Review: This is my absolute favorite book to read to my son and daughter. Until recently I worked full time and went to school 3/4 time. During the work week I got home at 8:00 at night and had an hour to spend with my 3 and 5 year old. We would read most of the time and they asked for this book every night. My son in particular is a mommy's boy and he really missed seeing me everyday. He could relate to the special things you get to do when "mama" comes home. This book is pretty short, and simple. The illustrations are beautiful. This book also makes a great baby shower gift. I give it 5+ stars!

Rating: Summary: I can relate to the message in this story. Review: When Mamma Comes Home Tonight was the first book I bought my infant daughter for Christmas. The book focuses on the activities that mom and baby will enjoy now that the work day is over. The total focus is on the baby and enjoying that wonderful time. The illustrations are very well done and will be enjoyed for years. The story is simple and straightforward. I highly recommend it for us working moms who work hard through the day and delight in their time with baby.
