Summary: Where's Spot? ***VIDEO***
Review: I am confused looking at the reviews here. They are all for the Spot book. The book is very good too, but the video (here on this page) is also great. I have it for my niece and also for my daughter, and am buying another copy for a baby gift for someone.

This video is great for a baby's first cartoon/TV to watch. It is not too "busy" (or too long) for babies like other cartoons can be. I noticed my daughter *really* watching it and smiling and laughing at it around four months old. And she has enjoyed it ever since (and is now 3). It's cute and simple - perfect for babies and toddlers.

With my daughter interested in Spot, it gave me time to do some dishes or read the day's mail - uninterupted! I highly recommend *ALL* the Spot videos (although the longer ones, like the Christmas one, my daugter didn't get into as much until she was about two). "Where's Spot" and "Spot at the Farm" are her favorites. And she enjoys the books too.

Also - I recommend Kipper the Dog videos too. They are also the same simple shapes/characters and sceneries and stories, just like Spot. And Maisy Mouse videos and books. I never see any babies and toddlers who don't like Spot, Kipper, and Maisy. The Baby Mozart videos are also excellent. Kids are drawn to them. None of the above are wastes of money - and they enjoy them from babyhood into toddlerhood.

Summary: Great interactive book!
Review: I started reading Where's Spot to my daughter when she was just a few months old. At about 6-7 months she was lifting the flaps herself. At 11 months now she is turning pages, lifting flaps, and loving these board books.

Summary: DECEMBER #4
Review: I think I know one reason Spot is relatively popular: it is very simple. My 21 month old seems to actually follow the story closely, and relate it to her own life. I think it's helping her with her language too. And generally it is very sweet and non-threatening (although my daughter is afraid of that cat too!). There clearly is nothing embedded within them to entertain adults (unlike Sesame Street) but these are great videos for anyone who wants to avoid loud, busy, frantic, or violent things for their small children.

Summary: My daughter's FAVORITE!
Review: My two-month-old daughter got this book for Christmas. I thought she was too young for it. Boy, was I wrong! It is her absolute favorite!! Now at nine months old, she is lifting all the flaps and turning the pages. She gets so excited when I open this book. I cannot recommend it enough. The pictures are bright, the words repetitious, and the flaps sturdy -- a perfect combination for babies and toddlers! From now on, this is the book I am going to buy whenever I need to buy a baby or toddler gift. No one will be disappointed with Where's Spot!

Review: Spot the Dog books are a favourite with my girls. They love the simple stories that they can relate to (hiding, baking a cake, playing with others etc) and the lift-the-flaps always bring screams of delight even though we've read them many many times. As they grow I'm sure they'll be one of the books they learn to read with. The words are simple and the font easy to read. Lovely books to cuddle up with your children on your lap. They are also big enough to hold up and read to them as they sit in back seat on car trips.

Summary: My daughter loves it
Review: This is a set of short little Spot stories, and in between each one there is a little sketch, where two or three children do little exercises, like matching animals with the good they eat, or matching colours. The educational slots have nothing to do with Spot, and we could have done without them, but they are harmless enough.

We bought it for her when she was two, because she loves the books, and had spotted (sorry) a trailer on another video. She likes this video, but she likes the book more, especially the pop-up version. I still like the Wiggles better, because it makes her get up and dance, but some times it's good to have something less active.

Summary: Wonderful Fun for Little Ones
Review: This sturdy little book has gotten much use at our house. It became my daughter's favorite "lift-the-flap" book. The drawing style and gentle story engage children to participate in the search for little Spot the dog. Perfect for 1-3 year olds. All of Eric Hill's Spot Books are cool but this one is a real favorite. Enjoy!

Review: Where's the Book!!?? My eight month old daughter can't get enough of Where's Spot? We usually don't go more than a few hours before she "looks for the book" so we can read it AGAIN. Therefore, where IS the book is my husband's and my common question. The colors are bright, fun and great! The book makes her interact so she wants to turn the pages. Spot, the puppy, is "missing" and the child must lift up portions of the page to see if Spot is under there. It is a delightful book!
