Summary: Love is a Gift was great!
Review: I have read all of Lauren Brooks Heartland books, and I think that every one deserves five stars! In this Heartland book, Amy Flemming goes with her sister and her sisters boyfriend to Australia to visit her half sister, her step-mother, and her father. When Amy gets there she begins to feel she doesn't fit in, so she hangs with the horses, but she doesn't really feel like she fits there either. With the help of Amy's friends, she realizes what the problem is and quickly tries to fix it before she goes home.

Review: I have read all the Heartland books so far and I plan to read them till they stop. (I HOPE that isn't soon!!!) I LOVED the first thirteen. the last three have been fairly good but they lack the same desription and feeling that made the others so excitingI think it is cool to see Amy somewhere new, dealing with her father's new wife and daugther. I also liked the fact that Amy realized, to a certain extent, that family is more important than horses. (even though horses ROCK)I missed having the heartland crew there, especially TY! :) All in all I thought it was a good book, but there was something missing.

Summary: Please write more books!!!!
Review: I LOVE ALL OF THE BOOKS!!!!! I started with the 4th book but it was so good that I had to go and buy the first 3 and even though I knew that Amy's mother dies I still cryed! I can't wait till the next one comes out!!!! So please write more books!!!

Summary: Heartland Review
Review: The Heartland books are unusual and touch not only on the equestrian world but also on many emotional themes. The writing is descriptive but also slightly dull at times. The books are well researched and include great ammounts of horsie information as well as an emotive storyline. They are not, however, especially cheerful and this book is definately one of the weakest of the series as the plot need more development to bring forth more character development. At times the characters (and inparticular Amy) seem too 'goody two shoes' to be genuine and I felt that the occasional mistake on her part would help the reader to feel with the characters more.
However having said this the book does feature some very compulsive equestrian themes and I defiantely would not recommend this for the unhorsie reader!!

Summary: Interesting
Review: This book is soo good the first day I got it I finished it!
Amy is soo awesome! I like this because I some times feel the way she felt.
And I think it's soo cool that she cured the horses! But I wont tell you everything about the book.
So read it your self.
I recomend this book for 11 and up.

Summary: Love Is A Gift
Review: When Amy and Lou journey to Australia to visit their father and his new wife (Helena) and their baby (Lily), Lou immediatly connects with Helena and Lily loves Lou. While Amy stuggles with the fact that this is their new mother and sister, she seeks refuge in the stable. Even though some of the stablehands don't particularly like her there, shes continues with her work on two of the horses, Spirit and Mistral. Spirit was cared for by Helena and completely adores her, making him behave unenthusiastically for others when jumped. Mistral seems to lack human intrest so whenever they try to make progress with her, she becomes distressed. As Amy treats Spirit and Mistral, she realizes some things about how she's been acting.

Heartland's probably my favorite series! I have never disliked any of the Heartland books and I would give any of the books a million stars. I suggest that you start off with the first book in the series, Coming Home, if you want to read the Heartland books. Lauren Brooke is a great author and I hope she continues to keep writing.

P.S. There's a surprise at the end of the book involving Lou but I won't give it away. You'll have to read it for yourself!
