Summary: The Remarkable Farkle Mcbride
Review: This book continues to be one of our familys favorites. My three year old can identify many instruments by sight. And also by sound thanks to the CD farkle and Friends. We love all of John Lithgow's book and wish he would visit Salt Lake City so we can see him live.

Summary: The Remarkable Farkle is Fantastic!
Review: This is one of the best children's books out there. I have read this book to several grade school classes (K - 3rd) and it's always a winner. Mr. Lithgow does a wonderful job of putting words to the sounds of instruments and his rhyme is fantastic.Mr. Payne's illustrations are brilliant and are the finishing touch to this a new "classic" It seems that there is a rush of actors writing children's books with varying degrees of success, but Mr. Lithgow does a first class job. If he decides to abandon his day job - he has a brilliant future as a children's author. Buy the book - you or your children won't be dissappointed.

Summary: Fabulous Children's Music Book!!
Review: This is the perfect gift if you want to interest your child in classical music! My son loves this book - and so do I! It has great pictures, writing and it speaks directly to the child in all of us. Farkle masters and then throws away musical instrument after instrument, much to his parents dismay! Only to discover (not unlike many of us) that his path had been perfect all along - his destiny was to incorporate ALL of the instruments he had learned and become a much- loved conductor. Plus, there is a GREAT cd available as well. The entire Farkle McBride is read on it by the author, John Lithgow. There are also a number of other positive children's songs. My 8 year old son listen's to this cd EVERY NIGHT. He is now very interested in music - especially all the instruments in an orchestra and is developing quite a musical ear.
