Review: The Biddle Books are incredible. The illustrations grab you, and actually touch your heart. The language is simple, but eloquent. My 7yr old has been reading these books since pre-school, and unlike other volumes that she has outgrown, these stories still hold a special place on her book shelf.
I would have awarded a 5 star rating for this series, but the demotion is due to the quality, and content of the boxed set. The paper is cheaper, the colors are not as vibrant, and the text has been abridged slightly. We [got a deal] ... per book for the originals, where this set retailed for that amount for 4 books (Biddle Bunny, Pig, Bird, and Mouse)! If you are OK with a lesser quality product, this is certainly a good value.
