Rating: Summary: My daughter's 1st book Review: Being that we adopted our 11 month daughter from China I was concerned she might not have had enough tactile stimulation, so when I found this book I thought it was perfect! And, boy was this board book a hit! My daughter absolutely loved touching the dogs tummies, ears, noses and toy ball! Combined with our black lab, this book and working on " dog" as a baby sign her 3rd sign was dog!
DK books are terrific at any age, I have yet to find one I don't like! The DK Scratch & Sniff is also the best out there!
Rating: Summary: Perfect for dog-loving kids Review: I got this book as a hand-me-down from a friend, whose 4-year-old and 2-year-old boys had failed to destroy it. That alone says a lot about the durability of this book, and its tactile pieces. My son, who is 16 months, loves this book. He likes to touch all the different tactile pieces: the furry puppy chest (my son's favorite), the silky dog ears, the fuzzy slipper, the rubber ball (my least favorite), and the leathery puppy noses (my favorite). The pictures are adorable. There aren't many words per page, so the book might lose its appeal for older, more experienced readers. But it's great for younger kids (under 4).
Rating: Summary: My favorite baby gift. Review: I just love ALL the books in this series. My children just loved them when they were little, and if you've ever had babies you know how valuable a good book is -- you get to sit down for a while! They were fun for me to read and really fun for them to explore. In fact, I've already packed them away in their hope chests for when they grow up and have children.
Now, whenver I know anyone who has had a baby, these books (as many as I can find) are my gift.

Rating: Summary: great book! Review: my 2 year old daughter LOVES puppies so this book was a huge hit! it's held up to her pulling and tugging, so it's very durable. great book for any little puppy dog lover to own!
Rating: Summary: A super touch and feel book! Review: My daughter has loved this book from age 6 months; she's now 18 months. I think it's held her interest because of the variety of textures and because the dogs are so cute! One reason I like this book, over other DK touch and feel books, is that there is no repetition or forced situations. All the textures are a natural fit. They include: fluffy tummy (the best one!), rubber ball, leathery noses, and fuzzy slipper. This gets a high recommendation from both baby and mommy!
Rating: Summary: This is a great book for little ones! Review: My one year old son recieved this book for his birthday and he LOVES it! I am thinking of getting two - one for the car and one for the house. One of his first words was "dawg", so this book fits the bestseller list for him! If he is crying, this book will make him stop instatnly...he loves it that much. It is sweet, tactile and he loves the pictures on the outside of the book as much as the ones on the inside. He loves the furry parts the most, but he mostly just likes to look and babble about these cute pups. I highly rec. this book. Enjoy!
Rating: Summary: Cute Dog Alert Review: This series of board books are fantastic. I started collecting these for my daughter after she was given one at 6 months as she loved them so much. The book is simple and easy to read with wonderful real photography (not illustrations)and textures on each page that relate to the text on the page. It's a great book to get your baby involved in the reading process, to learn what you are saying also means a texture they can actually touch. It's also a book that baby can read alone with easy to turn pages and endless fascination with the different textures. A wonderful book to get your children learning, thinking and enjoying books. You can never have too many books to read with your children.
