Review: I have read this book and when my babysitter came, she used to read a story and I would go to sleep. It is like magic. Sometimes, I read the book to myself and notice the drawings and the fairy tales. I think of the colors that I see and see what it reminds me of. But it really does work on me.

Review: This is really a terrific book--it takes classic fairy and folk tales and gives them a non-sexist, modern twist. Younger kids will appreciate the pictures and the Arthur characters while older kids will understand the humor, courtesy of the subtle play on words throughout the book. It would be a terrific book to add to one's home or classroom library, and even useful for teachers of upper elementary or middle grades while doing a unit on fairy or folk tales.
