Summary: A true Heartland
Review: "Heartland: A Season of Hope" is about a young girl named Amy Fleming, who uses her mom's gentle training methods to help horses in need. After her mom died trying to rescue an abandoned horse on a stormy night, Amy had to take over the training of the horses with the help of her boyfriend Ty. This helped to save Heartland, a horse farm in Virginia where horses learn to trust again. With the help of Lou, her sister, taking over the business side of things, Heartland becomes very well known. Unfortunately, training horses isn't the only thing Amy has to worry about. She has to deal with friends, schoolwork, and millions of other things that get in the way of her training. If she could have it her way, Amy would be with horses twenty-four hours a day. While discussing treatment methods for a horse, Ty receives a phone call from Brad, his father. Brad says he needs to stop by Heartland but doesn't specify why. Ty and Amy are worried about why he would come to Heartland because Brad does not understand why his son wastes his time working with horses when it pays little. When a cattle trailer pulls up the driveway to Heartland Amy can't figure out why Brad would bring cattle to them. When she peers into the trailer she is shocked to see several horses inside. Ty's father, not knowing much about horses, suggested that the horses just needed food and water. Amy and Ty tell him that the horses need to stay at Heartland so they can receive medical attention. After receiving an urgent phone call from Heartland Scott, the local vet, comes immediately to check out the horses. Of the several horses three of them have no hope of being saved. Brad becomes emotional as he witnesses a horse being put down. He begins understanding how important Ty's job is. He and Ty set up an appointment with Brad's employers to discuss the unfinished job of transporting the horses. Will Brad be fired for doing the right thing? Will Amy and Ty be able to save the auction house horses? To find out buy the book!

In my opinion this is another success in an amazing series written by Lauren Brooke. "Heartland: A Season of Hope" shows more character development than any other book in the Heartland series. Ty's father gains a whole new understanding and respect for his son's work. Also, in the eyes of the Heartland family Brad is seen in a different light. They learn that there is more to him than he lets on. He shows that he is not the disapproving, distant father he portrays himself to be. He is in reality caring, devoted, and understanding. Amy is who every horse lover wants to be. She is knowledgeable in healing herbals for horses, show etiquette, and gentle training techniques. Her life mirrors what most teenage girls experience and how they deal with it. This is a great book to read for any girl who feels like she is alone when it comes to different types of problems. The events in this book also tie closely to ones that many horse enthusiasts like myself have to endure. It shows the important issue of horse neglect and abuse that still exists in the world. Amy and her family show how a few people can change the course of several horses' lives. It is truly a story about how one person can make a difference even if it seems small. This book is not only entertaining but also informative. The methods and remedies used by Amy and Ty are very helpful in the world of the equine. Many of the remedies used on horses in the book are also in veterinary handbooks. The training techniques used are also found at some horse training facilities and in many informative books. This book is not just a pure work of fiction. There are many elements that can be taken from this book and can be applied to real life.

Summary: Great book!
Review: Amy knows Ty's father disapproves of Ty working with horses. That's why Amy is shocked when Ty's father shows up at Heartland with a trailer full of abused, heat-exuasted horses. She immediatley accuses him of animal abus but later learns that Brad, Ty's dad, didnt realize what he was transporting until he made a quick rest stop. When Brad saw what was inside the trailer, he stopped at Heartland to give the horses water and care. When he arrives, two horses are dead and another was put down. The rest are kept at Heartland to recover. The auction house makes things even worse by claiming that they sent people to retrive the surviving horses and sell them. Heartland must figure out a way to keep the abused animals from suffering anymore. Will they be able to save the animals from the long, fateful ride to the auction house? Read to find out

Overall this book was amazing. I am glad that the Author chose to write on such a touchy subject. Real people go through this everyday, and us horse crazy people are thankful for places that save these amazing creatures from an excruciating death at the auction. This book is worth every penny. :)

Summary: Please!!
Review: I agree with one of the reports I read about this book. When is Amy going to tell Ty about her kiss with Daniel? I also agree that she must be feeling pretty guilty. I really need to know if Ty's understanding goes deep enough to beleive Amy.
