Summary: A good book on a waffle.
Review: A GOOD BOOK ON A WAFFLE.

Primrose Squarp is an amusing, funny eleven year-old girl who is very lost and unsure of her self after she becomes an orphan. Her parents are lost at sea and everyone thinks they are dead, but Primrose thinks they are still alive stranded or lost on an island somewhere. She waits on the dock every night for them to come back.
Since her parents are lost Primrose goes to live with her Uncle Jack who is in the Navy stationed in Coal Harbor, but he is not the best guardian for her, he is not around a lot so Primrose is often lonely.
Primrose loves the town restaurant, " The girl on the red swing." (That's where they sell everything on a waffle, fish on a waffle even waffles on waffles) She gets along very well with the owner Kate Bowzer, she teachers her how to cook and takes her in and makes her feel well again and befriends her. Although she does like Kate she doesn't care for Miss Honeycut her counselor, she is too caught up in her own world to care about anyone else but herself (which is odd to Primrose because at this time in her life she needs someone to talk to) and her babysitter Miss Perfidy also tends to get on Primrose's nerves.

Over all I enjoyed this book I think in a way it teaches you to be able to handle anything that comes at you and to be strong and patient. I also thought it was enjoyable how they had little recipes throughout the book. It made the book different and unique.

Review: Every Thing On A Waffle

Primrose is 11 year old. Her parents left to sea and she never saw them again, because a storm came. So she lived with several different people. They were Bert and Evie; Miss Perfidy, who smelled like mothballs; and Uncle Jack.
How the book got its title is they would go to a diner that served waffles for plates. They even have recipes in the book.
Primrose believed that her parents were still alive, But people would tell her that her parents were dead. She wouldn't believe them.
Do you want to know if they are alive or dead? Read this book and you'll

Review: Everything on a Waffle

Imagine that you are an 11-year-old girl whose parents disappeared one June day when a typhoon arose at sea. You are the only person in your Coal Harbor, British Columbia community who thinks that they didn't drown but got washed ashore on an island just waiting to be rescued. Well in the book, Everything on a Waffle, a Newberry honor award book, written by Polly Horvath, that is exactly what happens to 11- year-old Primrose Squarp.
Primrose Squarp had no family. She was living with her neighbor, Miss Perfindy, until the community found out had her Uncle Jack. She then went to go and live with him.
At this point some unfortunate things start to happen to Primrose. She loses a toe and a fingertip in two bizarre accidents. That was the last straw for her Uncle Jack. Off Primrose went into a foster home. She starts to live with two people named Eve and Bert who were never fortunate enough to have children of their own.
The one thing that keeps Primrose Squarp's spirits up is the restaurant The Girl on the Red Swing. This restaurant is where the title comes from. At this restaurant they serve everything on a waffle. For example; they serve stake on a waffle, fish on a waffle, breakfast, lunch and dinner on a waffle. The restaurant owner comforts Primrose at her worst times.
Did you ever know something deep in your heart and in you instincts you knew it was true? 11-year-old Primrose Squarp did. Were her parents ever found? Did they ever come back to their sweet little girl? You'll just have to read the book Everything on a Waffle, by Polly Horvath, a Newberry honor book to find out.
