Rating: Summary: Is it possible to top yourself? Review: Toot & Puddle are fantastic stories about two adorable pigs that highlight the differences in people and how they can get along, matched with equally rewarding illustrations resulting in perfect combinations. This time around add cousin Opal into the mix and I was reduced to a withering mass. This journey about a first loose tooth has got to be one of the best...if not the best...of the series. The expressions and actions come through loud and clear and the journey is one acted out everyday. And, well Opal is positively Charming!Another fantastic book from Holly Hobbie and one I intend to be gifting as much as possible.
Rating: Summary: They're back! Review: We have loved the adventures of sweet little pigs Toot and Puddle for years. Now, they're back, with Puddle's cousin Opal in for a visit. She notices that her tooth is very wiggly, and the boys offer to help her extract it. But Opal wants it to "come out all by itself". So, they play all day long, picking strawberries and swinging on the swing. When Opal swings from the rope into the lake, she comes out minus her loose tooth! It's Toot to the rescue, armed with his diver's mask. Once they retrieve the lost tooth, another problem presents itself: the boys quietly wonder if the Tooth Fairy will know to come to Woodcock Pocket and not Opal's house. Puddle has a plan to disguise himself as the Tooth Fairy so Opal won't be disappointed. But they both fall asleep in a big chair. But it turns out the Tooth Fairy DID come and left Opal a shiny new quarter. As sweet book told in the usual, wonderful Holly Hobbie fashion.
