Rating: Summary: Wonderful!!! Review: My 8 month-old daughter has loved this book from the moment I purchased it (one month ago). She will let me read this book to her over and over again (once I read it 20 times in ONE day!). This is a wonderful touch and feel book. Many of our other t&f books have the same textures, but this one has several (3-4) on each set of pages. Her favorites are the teddy bear and the apron. She will often just sit on the floor with this book spreading her hands all over the pages until she finds the textures. I'm looking for more of these baby einstein t&f books!
Rating: Summary: My son's favorite book! Review: My son is 14 months old and for the past several months this has been his absolute favorite book. I was skeptical when we received it as a baby gift. Baby Einstein is so commercialized here that I thought, surely it'll be all hype. Not so! Each page has different textures and things for him to touch and feel-- a wooly sweater, squishy sponge, sticky fingerpaints. 3-4 things on each page with little verses to go with. The text flows smoothly with a nice rhythm and his fingers move from texture to texture as we go through the verses. He can't get enough! I highly recommend this book.
Rating: Summary: A Fabulous Touch-and-Feel Book Review: The poems are great with a wonderful flow. Plenty of very different things for baby to feel, my 6 mo old likes it (good for tough/grabbing little hands). Each page has quite a few of the things to touch so the child will not get bored - so many textures to explore.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful wonderful book! Review: We purchased this for our 15 month old daughter for Christmas and she absolutely loves it! She's already a big fan of the touch and feel books (usually the DK line) but this was even nicer than the previous ones we own. Each page (well, two pages) features a room of Violet's house with three or four different items to touch and feel. As well, it provides tons of different textures--from a kitchen sponge (really a sponge) to a furry teddy bear to sticky finger paints and even a mint-smelling toothpaste! I've been a little disappointed lately with the touch and feel books we own as they all seem to have the same couple of textures in different colors (some even have the same texture repeated in a 5 page book). The text is nice as well, simple rhymes encouraging the child to find the different items to touch and feel.Overall, we are quite happy with the purchase. While the size of the DK books is easier for our daughter to hold on her own, the content of this book more than made up for the larger size. We chose to take it on our vacation with us and it kept her amused on the plane for quite a long time. We are fans of the Baby Einstein products already and this book was no exception.
