Summary: FUN!!!!!
Review: Chirstelow does a wonderful job of combining fun with counting so that children are drawn to the childish antics of the "Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed". Getting ready for bed, the little monkeys go through their bedtime routine...put on their pajamas, brush their teeth and say goodnight to Mama. But!!! As soon as Mama is out of sight, the adventure begins! "Five little monkeys jumping on the bed/One fell off and bumped his head/Mama called the doctor/and the doctor said/No more monkeys jumping on the bed!" Now of course, the little monkeys do not heed the warning and continue the countdown as each time one monkey falls off and bumps his/her head, followed by Mama calling the doctor and the doctor repeatedly admonishing them - 'No more monkeys jumping on the bed!' until finally all are put to bed with bandages on their head in some form or another. Then Mama retreats and says 'Finally, I can go to bed' and jumps on the bed!!! Counting and the childlike actions of the little monkeys make this a fun book for all to enjoy.

Summary: Monkeys are the best!
Review: I have been reading this book to my son since he was 3 months old. The first time we read it he actual laughed out aloud. He is now 10 months and still loves this book. We read it every night before bed and are even painting monkeys on his wall because they are his favorite. Those monkeys are very cute and babies love them.

Summary: you (and your children) will die laughing
Review: I love this book. My daughter (3 ½) could not stop howling with laughter as we read this book about five times in a row. By the fifth or so reading, she'd memorized it (not that hard to do since we just count down the number of monkeys jumping on the bed: "five little monkeys, jumping on the bed, one fell off and bumped his head, mama called the doctor and the doctor said, No more monkeys jumping on the bed!" How could you not laugh after reading this book? Plus, the illustrations with the little monkeys are adorable. The other ones in the series are not nearly as good as this one, so if you only buy one, make it the original five little monkeys.

Summary: We are wearing out this book
Review: My 17 month old loooves this book, we end up reading it 20 times a day. It also helped her learn the story so we can recite it while waiting in line at the market, etc.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Not the most interesting book for babies
Review: My 9 month old has lots of favorite board books (Mirror Me, Pat the Bunny, Goodnight Moon, etc) and this has never been one of them. I think this book is a little too much for babies, although it sounds like toddlers really enjoy it. I guess we'll pull it out again in another six months or so!

Summary: Great pictures to go with a favorite kid's song
Review: My daughter loves the Five Little Monkey's song, so much so, that she wanted to jump in her crib every morning when she got up for a month. This book became a favorite the first time we read it. She loves reading the story and looking at the pictures, as well as repeating parts of the story as we read it. The song/story itself is simple; the lyrics repeat as one-by-one the monkeys fall off the bed.

Summary: Great toddler read!
Review: My two year-old can recite the words to this book in her sleep! We act it out and she just laughs and laughs! Warning: Don't read it at bed time if you expect your child to go to sleep! It gets mine all fired up!

Summary: cute but dangerous
Review: this book - a gift from gran - had to disappear because it caused my active toddler to yes - jump on the bed = nonstop, before the book he never did such a thing, and after i couldn't get him to stop, he and his little sis really got worked up instead of calmed down for bed, cute pics though

Summary: Five Little Monkeys Jumped on a Bed
Review: This is a very good book this was my favorite book when I was little. It is a really good book for kids, and I don't think that you would be disappointed if you bought it. It is easy to follow along with, and it is even better because it involves monkeys.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: What happened to the monkeys that were jumping on the bed?
Review: This is one of my 2 1/2 year old favorite books . It begins with the monkeys getting ready for bed, then the jumping & bumping starts...Colorful & simple. A must for the little one's bookshelf.
