Rating: Summary: Tunnels Of Blood by Good_Charlotte_Freak @ Pinecone High,NJ Review: The Darren Shan saga chronicles the "after" life of our half-vampire hero. In the Tunnels of Blood, Darren, along with Crepsley and Evra, leave the Cirque Du Freak to go to the city. Its almost Christmas time and Darren is set on getting Evra in the "spirit". But then he meets Debbie, and they fall in love(aww...isn't that sweet). But, as always, there is a conflict. And that is the vampaneze(similar to a vamp. but different.) that has already killed six people. But Darren doesn't know about the vampaneze at this point. He jumps to conclusion and suspects Crepsley. Then he actually meets the vampanese and let me just say that this is when the story grows.
As usual, the Shan saga doesnt disapoint its readers. A must-read for any vampire fan.
Rating: Summary: A Whole New Direction For The Series Review: Darren Shan continues his addictive series with the tunnels of blood. Shan keeps the reader's interest by adding yet another new wrinkle with mysterious killings occurring. Darren finds a love interest and is able to explore a part of his life he thought died when he became Mr. Crepsley's assistant. Evra the snake boy goes along to show the strength of Darren's friendship with Evra, and their relationship is definitely tested.
What is discovered in the Tunnels of Blood only adds to the suspense that consistently builds in this series. EVERYTHING presented in these first books of the Cirque series will be relevant in later books. Fortunately Shan re-visits characters and pieces of plot at exactly the right time.
Darren Shan is quite a talented author who writes a series that can be enjoyed by any age group, and this series needs to be made into a film ASAP.
The writing is brilliant, yet simple.
Rating: Summary: My favorite of all (so far) Review: ever since a friend got me into the series im hooked! it is a great book for all harry potter, lord of the rings or redwall lovers. this is my favorite book because of all of the gore, mystery and suspense.Darren and Evera go to the big city for a vacation. then a vampaneze, a vampier who kills, comes along and starts killing people. what will happan when Evera gets kiddnapped and Darren's "girlfriend" is threatend. even though i've only read the first 4 this will be a series i will always remember!!!
Rating: Summary: the Best Book in the whole entire world! Review: Hey This Is Aqua-Lynn Merideth! Guess what? I just got done reading the best book in the world.Ok, The book is about a boy and his adventures as a half-vampire. One time, when Darren was watching the news, they saw there were these dead bodies found drained of blood. He then blamed his master Mr.Cresply because he is a full vampire! Ever since then he has been following him in the night until he....well your just going to have to read this book and the other 7 in the series to find out. Bye!
Rating: Summary: Best book I've ever read!!! Review: I liked the book because it was thrilling from beginning to end!, plus it disagreed with mostly all the other books about what vampires can and can't do. Darren Shan almost makes it seem "vampires" are real! Out of the first three books this book definitely is the best.
Rating: Summary: A Fantastic Book! Review: I would say this is one of the top books in the Cirque Du Freak Series! Darren, a half-vampire, leaves the Cirque with Mr. Crepsly, a full vampire, and a snake-boy named Evra on a trip to a city. While at their stay Darren gets a girlfriend named Debbie. Darren has loads of fun with Debbie an Evra until one night, while watching TV, the police found dead people with all their blood drained from them. Evra and Darren search for the one who did it. In the Tunnels of Blood they find a new Evil that is more dangerous then they can possibly imagine. Will they live or will they die and have their blood drained like the rest?
Rating: Summary: READ THIS BOOK PEOPLE! Review: Perhaps the most frightening horror book in this amazing series, Tunnels of Blood will leave the reader begging for more. places a whole new spin on vampires. great book that I WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND
Rating: Summary: the best series I've ever read Review: The cirque du freak series is an amazing book about a heroic boy who to save his friends life from his own pure stupidity screws up his own life. My favorite part about this series is how Darren Shan takes old rules about vampires and makes it his own...
Rating: Summary: Interesting...:) Review: This next installment to the teen horror series, Cirque du Freak. In this book, Darren is suspicious that Mr. Crepsley might be the cause of several murders in town that are seemingly the cause of a vampire. To make matters worse, Crepsley refuses to talk to Darren about this, and is gone more and more lately. Finally Darren and Evra decide to take matters into their own hands: to follow Mr. Crepsley, and even stop him, if that's what it takes...
Readers will enjoy the addition of a new antagonist, the vampaneze. This is a break from classic vampire literature, and makes the book all the more interesting. Debbie adds an interesting blend of romance to this novel that was missing in the first two books. More unpredictable than the others, also, even though it is one of those books where you can't really predict because not all of the characters are introduced in the first two chapters, etc.
Rating: Summary: Tunnels of Blood Review: Tunnels of Blood, number 3 in the Cirque du Freak series, is a great read. This book follows Darren Shan as he ventures with Mr. Crepsley and Evra(the snake man) into a big city around Christmas time. This book is very good, but do not read it if you are looking for high-quality literature. I do recommend this book to anybody who wants an interesting look into the world of Vampires and freak shows. A great read for kids alike.
