Rating: Summary: A very interactive story with a great message Review: My soon to be 4 year old LOVES this book, we read it at least four times a week at bed time, WOW. My daughter has me insert her name in place of Lily and her sister's name as Lily's baby brother, etc.
But mostly what I love is it gives us an opportunity to talk and read to together. When my daughter wanted to bring her new "purse" to school, we discussed what happened to Lily. When she had a fight with a friend and my daughter was wrong, we talked about "sorry." But as my daughter now enters pre-school, it gave us an opportunity to talk about how Lily loves school and my daughter will too.
Rating: Summary: HOORAY FOR LILLY!!! Review: This is a book that adults will appreciate as much as children. Pay close attention to all that's happening in the illustrations. You can't help but love Lilly, she means well but like any of us she finds herself in trouble. Mr. Slinger, Lilly's teacher is a hero. This is a must read for all kids. Makes a great gift, look for a purple plastic purse and movie star sunglasses to go a long with it! After reading this book you'll find yourself looking for and falling in love with all of Kevin Henkes' books! Wow! That is all I can say. Wow!
Rating: Summary: wow, that's all I can say! Review: This is the first book that got my granddaughter interested in reading. Within weeks we had to see the play at the local children's theatre and purchase more books. The author drew her right into the story, and that was only the beginning!
