Summary: This is a great book
Review: This book is great. I am not quite finished, so I don't know how it ends, but so far, I definatly love it. I have read two thirds of it in one day. I just can't put it down. I am online actually online to see if I can find more books by this author! I think anyone who likes historical fiction will love it, and from what I've heard, any book by this author is great.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Wonderfully written; Worth buying
Review: This book is one of the Historical Fiction Guru's (Ann Rinaldi) best. I love the way she yells the story of two girls in the same story. My favorite character was Persifor, but I wont ruin the suprise by telling you who he is(hint: He shows up in more than one place than the Shippen's back door). I enjoyed the epilogue and the historical note too. I learned so much about this period of history and Benedict Arnold just by reading this excellent book. If you enjoyed this one you will also enjoy: The Second Bend in the River,Time Enough for Drums,Wolf by the Ears,Bloomability,Walk Two Moons,Absolutely Normal Chaos, and Chasing Redbird

Summary: A great book
Review: This book is written through the eyes of the main character, a servant to the Shippens. Its a real page turner and no doubt well worth the money to buy it. For any historical fic fan, I definitely highly reccommend it, and even if you're not normally a fan of it, I'm sure you'll enjoy this. It has Mystery, Romance and Trouble in a war filled atmosphere. There's nothing else to say other than I hope you get a chance to read it! :)

Summary: The Dragon Lady
Review: This book was only pretty good. It's only my second Ann Rinaldi book, but this one wasn't as good as An Accouintance With Darkness. It was, however, fairly suspenceful in a boring sort of way. I read it in a day, mostly just because I was bored.
My main complaint is that there was so much going on, that Becca never had time to form as a character. I couldn't really connect with her. Her emotions were sort of random. I don't know, maybe I'm too young for it, but I really didn't think this book was really special.
Okay, time for a good word. The book was well written, excepting the fact we didn't get to know Becca. Ann Rinaldi has a unique way of writing that I've taken a liking to. I look forward to reading her other works.
This book was about a young girl sent to be "finished" by learning some finer points of education while serving as the personal maid of the spoiled Peggy. She struggles with the signs of betrayal and the comfort of ignoring them.
Due to being fairly interesting, I'll rate this book four stars.

Summary: A good book on the Civil War.
Review: This book was very good. Once I started reading I couldn't put the book down. It is a really good book for teenage girls. It show us some things which we would've had to live with if we were alive during the civil war.

Summary: Wonderful portrayol of historical figures, a great read!
Review: This book was wonderful. I think it deserves even higher than just 5 stars. The way the author portrays and describes all the characters, people who actually lived, is excellent. It gives the reader a spectacular sense of what occurred in the history of Benedict Arnold and is such a wonderful experience for the reader to imagine. I would recommend this to anyone who has a love of history.

Summary: GREAT!
Review: This is a wonderfull book! It really makes you feel as if you are in the 1700's with Becca, a ordinary farm girl, serving Peggy Shippen. I reccomend this book for anyone that enjoys historical fiction!

Summary: You'll never be able to put it down!
Review: This is the best book i've ever read!! I don't like reading, but now i sure do!!!!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A well written book about the personal life of Peggy Shippen
Review: This story has been well thought out but the ending was not very conclusive. It is hard to read a story when all you have for an ending is a sudden rush of information and then you are done. The storyline on the other hand is excellent! Not only did it reach out in detail but of persice description of how Peggy Shippen Arnold handeled her spoiled little self during the war.
