Summary: A Gathering of Heartfelt Voices
Review: Despite the "young adults" label on the book, A Gathering of Flowers is for all ages. Some of the best fiction writers working today have contributed a diverse set of short stories in all uniquely pitched, heart-felt voices without pretension and grand gestering. This collection is probably one of the best anthologies available to the young (and older) today, especially if you're looking for works by writers of various ethnicities (as perhaps the "flowers" in the title suggests: different types and colors).

Summary: Short not Sweet
Review: I read this book on a school assignment and was disapointed to find that this collection of stories wasn't a very good collection. I didn't really enjoy the first story which made me think that the rest of the book may be unamusing as well, and I was not decieved. This book had a collection of stories that didn't compliment each other. There were only a few stories I found worthy of my reading time. All in all I would not reccomend this book in the full, but a few of the stories may be worth a glance.
