Summary: A wonderful and educational book!
Review: I read this book for a historical fiction book report, and I fell in love with it. It had great facts about the Salem Witch Trials, but still held a wonderful and interesting plot the whole way through. I very much recommend this book for all ages, because it is just so interesting, and everyone in your family will love it as much as I did.

Summary: You will love this book! I could read it a million times!
Review: This book is a very GOOD book. This book encouraged me to find more books by Ann Rinaldi and find more books on the Salem Witch Trials. What I discoverd was that all of Rinaldi's books are great and she used real characters. After I read this book, I could continue to read about the characters and look at pictures of them. It's the best book you will ever read!

Summary: Loved The Book
Review: I have read every single of Ann Rinaldi's more than 20 books and this ties with "The Last Silk Dress" as my favorite. It really makes feel like you are there and you can toatally relate to Susanna. Ann Ridaldi based the book on real characters and practically everything is really how it happened. I greatly reccomend this book. But I'm warning you, once you start reading it you won't be able to put it down.

Summary: An exciting book!
Review: CRITIQUE

The book A Break With Charity was exceptionally well written. It showed excellent voice and ideas and content. I would give this book a four out of five rating. I liked its historical accuracy with both the events and the characters. The author used very vivid and imaginative details that give readers a mental picture of what is happening. Though the book lacked adventure it was very exciting and was fun to read. I thought that the book was very interesting and found it most enjoyable. In the beginning it was somewhat slow moving, but as the story progressed it's pace quickened. I found it pleasing due to the fact that it was not choppy and it did not skip around from idea to idea. In other words it was easy to understand. The book is easy enough for a sixth grader to read, but challenging enough for an eighth grader to read. The author, Ann Rinaldi, used wonderful descriptive words, but did not describe the characters' feelings very well. She never showed the characters' emotions, so since I find that to be an important skill that needs to be practiced I was forced to give her book a four.

Another book that I find similar to A Break With Charity is Winter of Fire, by Sheryl Jordan.

Summary: A terrific piece of literature!
Review: The author knows her history regarding the Salem Witch Trials. She does a great job combining the actual events with fiction. A must for anyone interested in that event in our nation's history.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Well Balanced.
Review: Ann Rinaldi has a bad habit of making Christians the villians. Supprisingly enough, her book is well ballanced, fabulously written, extreemly realistic, and over-all superb!! Although an avid Rinaldi fan, I was somewhat wary of this book because of the slant on most books concerning the Salem Witch trials. They make the Puritans out to be blood thirsty pompous fools instead of being, (for the most part,) good people trying to discern what was the truth and what was not. Ann Rinaldi avoided this slant remarkably!! Thank you Ms.Rinadi for an historically accurate book!! You have ANOTHER teenage fan!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: One of Ann Rinaldi's finest!!!!
Review: This book picks you up and carries you through an incredible chapter of American history. It's fast-paced, dramatic, vivid, and alltogether fantastic! I loooove it!
