Review: Encantado guides readers on an amazing Amazonian journey, ostensibly to ferret out information on pink dolphins. Montgomery, however, is fishing for young conservationists! Her enthusiasm, glorious descriptions and hilarious comments disguise the fact that Encantado is not only a beautiful, information-packed picture book, it also represents a very real problem in a very real place that is vitally important to all of us.
I wish I'd had this book when I was a kid!

Every kid should read this, and it would make a great addition to grade school curricula.
