Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: For a Well-Rounded, 21st Century Child... Review: ...have your child read this book. If every child knew what this book teaches, there would be less misunderstanding and fear of unknown culture/religion in the world (especially in the post-911 world). Thoughtful, just-right text and charming illustration make this a good primer on world religions. This book should be mandatory, elementary-school reading. Bravo to the publisher for choosing a worthy title to publish. Highly recommended. --Betsy Lampe, Publisher's Report (National Association of Independent Publishers)

An intriguing and fun way for parents to promote tolerance, understanding and appreciation for the cultures of others. -- Matilda Raffia Cuomo, former First Lady, New York State, and author of The Person Who Changed My Life.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A Readable and Intelligent Book Review: A well written, charming book for a first time introduction to the most prominent religions. This book does not patronize or speak down to children. It is written simply, with intelligence and wit. I would recommend this book for parents as a good way to open a dialogue with their children.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Fun Lessons Review: A wonderful, well- paced read. Faith's cat-led journey takes her reluctantly but effectively toward greater understanding of those who are not like her. Realistic conversations and attitudes, with lessons it is never too early to learn.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: education Review: I read this book with my 8 yr. old son, alternating chapters reading aloud to each other. As the parent of a "strong-willed" child, this book allowed him to come to the revelations i'd hoped for regarding tolerance of difference that never would've clicked for him without the aide of Faith and Sofus. In addition, I learned some facts too. We ended the book with him asking..." Mommy, what is Sofus' next adventure?" Congratulations on a heartfelt, thoughtful, timely, resource for us regardless of our religious backgrounds!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Terrific aid for teaching tolerance, understanding Review: In a fun story with a serious message, replete with a magical cat, author Christine Verney Isaac has created a children's introduction to the world's great religions. Faith's Journey, a new book for young readers, offers a sly introduction to the spiritual beliefs of Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, Judaism, Christianity and Islam. The heroine, Faith, cares only about winning at soccer. Yet her soccer team is on a losing streak, a strange newcomer to her neighborhood threatens her position as captain of the team, and her parents have grounder her for being rude to him. Life is unfair and hopeless - or so she thinks, until a small gray cat at her window starts speaking to her. This magical cat takes Faith on a series of journeys, where Faith seeks the secret of a winning soccer team. On each journey she meets someone whose behavior, dress and beliefs are very different from her own. At first she is derisive of these differences, but finally learns that if she and her teammates don't learn from their mistakes they will keep repeating them and never win. And everyone is part of the team, whether you like them or not. The story's action is about petty competition, ambition, and neighborhood rivalries. Its underlying message conveys spiritual lessons about the power of diversity. As described by Rabbi Marc Gellman and Msgr. Thomas Hartmen, hosts of the radio show The God Squad, "Faith's Journey is a delightful cat-led journey through the moral universe in a way that will delight and inform children, adults and cats." #
