Summary: KEN MARSCHALL IS A GENIUS
Review: Really,Ken Marschall is a genius. I read this book,i see this book and the drawing is execellent. Recommend this book for all people.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Inside the Titanic is spectacular!
Review: Telling the stories of survivors & their families,HughBrewster weaves a fascinating description of life aboard thegreatest "unsinkable" ship of its time. Ken Marschall's amazing cutaway illustrations draw you in to the immense boiler rooms, endless cabins, kitchens & dining halls of this opulent & ill-fated passenger liner. Each page demands that you linger long, catching every detail, reading each description. A wonderful effort which will definitely create more lovers for the romance of this lost liner!...

Summary: Very good, but not enough detail in sinking
Review: The book "Inside the Titanic" was very interesting in the sense of telling a story. But the sinking wasn't too detailed. They could've shown more about the filling of water, the splitting, and the lifeboats being fought over. I think it deserved four stars!

Summary: Good, but not great. Perspectives seem off, no deck plans.
Review: The paintings are wonderful, but too limited. I would like to see more of the ship than one side of it. The book should have showed detailed deck plans (perhaps along the lines as those available thru New Steamship Consultants), and more paintings of the ship's interior spaces that are usually never seen, particularly the engine spaces. Also, detailed drawings of how the steam system worked to propel the boat would have also been very valuable. I think the book lacks a lot of substance. Moreover, the publishers made no effort to counteract the effect of full page spreads passing through the binding; thus, portions of the paintings are completely lost to view. Additionally, the book should have showed the much discussed watertight bulkheads, and how the boat filled with water in such a way so as to counteract their effectiveness, and to ultimately defeat their purpose. I hope the author revises the book along these lines. In that case, I would buy it again.

Summary: Invaluable interior drawings
Review: This book has the most outstanding paintings of the Titanic and it's interiors. A good comparison between first and third class, revealing the life of two families on board. The paintings are immaculate and detail and attention are visible. The paintings are few though and tease the reader. Very little interior is ever seen of Titanic and once it's exposed, as in this book, it teases you with the most outstanding paintings. The book describes the Carter family, when a cutaway is done on B deck it reveals cabins B84-82-78-76-(72). From the book you read that the Carter family had a dog, and in one of the cabins a dog is seen, missleading the reader that the Carters were in those two staterooms. Qite actually the Carter cabins were further aft, numbers B96-98. Otherwise the book is most pleasing.

Summary: Superb
Review: This book is a superb piece of art. For whom have little or no idea about Titanic architecture, it's a must have. The big drawing in the center of the book is truely amazing. It's also an ideal companion to have when reading testimonies by survivors, for it adds much to the feeling of being there.

Summary: Outstanding pictures and clear, consise text.
Review: This book is a well documented, superbly written account of the Titanic disaster which appeals to the younger reader. The pictures are flawlessly detailed and show the splendor and awe that was the most spectacular ship in history.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Very splended.
Review: When I got the book from the school library, I thought the book was very fantastic, even though I could tell some pictures had some added detail then all my other books did. But I liked it.
