Summary: Falling Up
Review: Kaitlyn Woolbright

Since school. Has started I have read forty to forty five books. Out of those books my favorite would have to be Falling Up. Falling Up is a collection of poems by Shel Silverstein. My favorite things about this book would have to be the title of the poems, artistic features, and the poems themselves. The title of the many wonderful poems really caught my eye like this one, "Furniture Bash." Wouldn't that catch your eye, too? The artistic features are very humorous! The one from, "Furniture Bash" shows a clock with a fist coming out of the center. Every poem has its own drawing, and it fits them quite well, too. The poems would have to be my favorite part. They are very comical, not to mention exciting. Out of all the books I have read in the past four months , my favorite would have to be Falling Up by Shel Silverstein. I would definitley recommend it to you.

Summary: He's done it again.
Review: Kudos to Shel Silverstein for creating yet another literary marvel. Like his other works, the poems are fantastic, child-hood memories are rekindled and I am silently chuckling to myself with the turn of every page. The book is great for the young and the young at heart.

Summary: It's one of Peyton's favorites.
Review: Many times in the past I had tried to introduce my children to poetry without any luck. They just weren't interested. Then, close to midnight a few nights ago I was awakened by piercing laughter. I groggily stumbled into my youngest child's room to investigate. There I found my six-year-old son Peyton laughing to the point of tears. Between gasps he said "Mom, you have to hear this!," and continued to site Shel Silverstein's poem "Snowball." Now he reads his favorites to his older brother. Thank you Shel Silverstein for providing this literary door for my children... they'll be opening it now for many years to come

Summary: The Voice
Review: My niece gave this book to my (then) one year old twin boys. Now I've started reading it to them - they love the poetry and the drawings.

Me? This book is so funny that I can hardly keep a straight face - except when I'm not stunned by the zen-like simplicity of the lessons contained within. This book will be a treasure for raising happy, healthy children. (This review's title is that of the poem I most treasure. "There is a voice inside of you...")

Summary: A joy to share with my two sons.
Review: My sons are 6 & 7 and have enjoyed the Shel Silverstein poetry books over and over again! They laugh and giggle and recite them from memory. The books have given my children a wonderful beginning appreciation of poetry.

Summary: Congratulations, Shel!
Review: Once again, I find myself meeting wonderful
characters and illustrations. What do you say,
Shel is one of my favorites and sits on my shelf next
to Where The Sidewalk Ends and A Light in the
Attic. Wonderful, wonderful work. A great
collection for your shelf too. Your kids will
love it, guaranteed! Parents too!

Summary: shel silverstein is one of our favorite authors
Review: One of the many joys of having children is reading to them. This is one of our favorites. The poetry is perfect for just before bedtime reading, when you just have to read one more.

Summary: Sometimes we have to grow up before we can be kids.
Review: Shel does a masterful job with his clever poetry. His poems with bring a smile to your face everytime. While technically these are childrens poems after reading them you will start to feel they were written for you and not for your child at all. Buy this book and smile today.

Summary: As a twenty year old, I still find his poetry hilarious!!!!!
Review: Shel Silverstein has done it again!!! I have enjoyed reading his books as a child, and as an adult it only gets better! In his previous books, "Wherer the Sidewalk Ends," and "A Light in the Attic," I laughed and laughed histerically. I personally enjoyed "Sarah Synthia Silvia Stout" and Ickle Me Pickle Me Tickle ME Too! NOw in his new book, all I can say is that as a 20 year old man I still found his "child humor" extremely funny. It actually inspired me to consider writing children's poetry. I love kids just as I am sure that Mr. Silverstein did, and being that he passed away just a little while ago, maybe someone should step up and continue the job where he left off. I don't think that anyone can take the place of Shel, however, I do believe that if no one steps up than the kids of the future will have no new litereature in this genre to look forward to.-Trabelus Whitfield, Virginia Beach, VAShel Silverstein has done it again!!! Summary: HE'S DONE IT AGAIN!
Review: Shel Silverstein has once again amazed me with his phenominal writing talents! "Falling Up" makes a great bedtime story for younger children, unless they laugh so hard they can't sleep! For older children like myself and adults, we realize how much we miss being younger. Shel Silverstein draws us back into the world of imagination and silliness. "Falling Up" is a great book to have and a must read! It's something that I know I will read over and over and over again. I'd recommend it to anyone
