Summary: Sweet, beautifully illlustrated bedtime story...
Review: My 4 year old loves this book. The book begins with dinosaurfathers, who are human, not dinosaurs, putting their dinosaur children to bed. Dinosaur mommys (human) put their dinosaur babies to bed in the second half of the book. Some of the dinosaurs pout, some ask for another story to be read, some keep on playing and refuse to go to bed. I think any parent or grandparent who has tried to put a child to bed will recognize the scenarios. My son certainly recognized some of his excuses and commented "I do that sometimes". This book is sweet and not too long. It is very funny and beautifully illustrated. Highly recommended as a bedtime story.

Summary: Great Motivation for Little Ones Who Love Dinosaurs
Review: We have a family story time every night and actually checked this book out from our local library. My son ADORES dinosaurs and spends alot of time pretending that he is one. The book gives examples and shows pictures of dinosaurs doing all the things that kids sometimes do at bedtime (like throwing themselves on the bed and crying or demanding a piggyback ride)and then says, "No,...." and tells how dinosaurs DO act at bedtime. It's great motivation for kids to try to act like dinosaurs at bedtime. We read it on three consecutive nights and my son was then able to "read" it word for word to us - it made him feel great!

Summary: How Do Dinosaurs Say Good Night?
Review: What a wonderful story for pre-school and the early primary grades!The illustrations are just so colorful and not scarey.The story line is just perfect for nap time and bed time.Since we don't really know what the dinsouaurs looked liked,the diversity of kids and people just fits right in.I can't wait to read the book to my new class this September!They will soon know all the names of the dinosaurs from long ago.

Review: This book is great to read to little ones at bedtime, but I was disappointed that there are no girl dinosaurs apparently: the book only has "He" and "His".

Review: Jane Yolen has written a lovely bedtime story about the way little dinosaurs go to bed and say good night. Do they slam their tales and pout? Do they throw their teddy bears all about? No... they give kisses and hugs and whisper good night. This is a wonderful bedtime book, told in rhyme that will amuse and delight your pre-schoolers as they enjoy the familiar antics of going to bed. With large expressive illustrations and an easy rhyming pattern, children will be able to "help" you read this story in no time. This is the perfect book to share before tucking in and turning out the lights and a great addition to home libraries.

Review: The story of parents putting their kiddy dinosaurs to bed is cute and fun; but the illustrations really make this book. The pictures are captivating, silly, fun, maybe even slightly scary to a very young reader. My daughter became a fan of this book after just one reading.

Review: I have a 2 yr old boy and a 5 yr old girl. They simply adore this bedtime book! (Okay...i admit it...its my favorite too) :-) Well written...just long and short enough to hold their oh so short attention. Illustrations also beautifully done. You won't be disappointed!

Summary: a great bedtime story for little ones who love dinosaurs
Review: Another great book by Jane Yolen! This adorable book teaches young ones how they should behave at bedtime by using dinosaurs as examples. Each page features a different dinosaur, and within each illustration, the dinosaur's name is displayed (on the headboard of the bed, spelled out in wooden blocks, etc.). Not only can this book be used to coax children into bed quietly, children can even learn the names of these different dinosaurs! With the upcoming Disney movie release, the interest in dinosaurs is sure to peak. Be sure to get this book, as it is one of the best new books out right now.

Review: The best picture book I have seen and read all year! The illustrations bring this book to life. How often do we see children dinosaurs and their real life parents say goodnight to eachother. Become familiar with the dinosaurs names and help your young one say good bye to those night time tantrums.
