Rating: Summary: A Must for Dinosaur Lovers of All Ages Review: What an incredible book! With it's endearing poetry, beautiful illustrations, and laugh out loud descriptions of bedtime dodging tactics, it's an A+ all around. My two year old son has swiftly learned all the names of the dinosaurs in the story and loves to say them as we work our way through. We first heard this story at our local library's preschooler story time -- the parents present laughed out loud almost more often than the kiddies did! Definitely on my "must have" list of toddler books!
Rating: Summary: A FAVORITE WITH OUR 2 1/2 YEAR OLD Review: Our son is a huge dinosaur lover, and this book has him miraculously racing to bed for storytime. He loves naming every dinosaur in the book as fast as he can, and he knows all the words. Wonderfully illustrated and simply told.
Rating: Summary: Great book for dino loving kids Review: My 3 year old daughter recieved the book this last Christmas and it quickly became a favorite. She loves the dinosaur pictures,we read it at least three times a day. My daughter begs me to name all the dinosaurs then she practices saying them back. Now we're buying the book for her cousin who is really into dinosaurs. This is one of the best books we've gotten in awhile.
Rating: Summary: Great pics for the little dinosaurs at home! Review: Our 8 1/2 month old LOVES this book. In fact it's one of his favorites since he was 4 months old. He loves the big pictures and loves to get kissed and hugged in the end when the dinosaurs finally go to sleep. He smiles when I say "Good night, Good night, Little Dinosaur" - the last line of the book!
Rating: Summary: an extremely fun book for everyone Review: I picked up this book in a bookstore, and was laughing out loud as I read through it. On the one hand, this is actually a fun way to teach children proper behavior when it's time for them to go to bed, and it's a clever use of dinosaurs (kids favorite) to get the point across. On the other hand, the illustrations and text are humorous and also quite accurate. Kids will see themselves in these pictures, relate to how it feels to have to go to bed when they don't want to. Adults will just smile and laugh because the drawings really ARE that funny. I never expected in my life to see a dinosaur throwing a temper tantrum, but now that I have, I wonder why it took me so long. This is a great book, and I foresee it being one that kids will want to have read to them over and over again. And I think adults will have no problem in doing so.
Rating: Summary: Dino Delight Review: This book makes a wonderful read-a-loud. The pictures fill the pages with action and fun. Children will quickly relate to the possible (and often hillarious) ways a dinosaur might react to bedtime. But, they will also appreciate the comforting ending as the dinosaur finally snuggles down for the night. There is plenty here to catch the eye, please the ear, and enjoy with a child.
Rating: Summary: Buy This Book Review: This is one of the best books I've seen for a two to twleve year old in a long time... my twin 2 year olds, and 5 year old love it, as do I! Great illustrations, lovely prose!
Rating: Summary: Great Book! Review: This wonderful picture book, including ten tired dinosaurs from prize-winning writer Jane Yolen and best-selling illustrator Mark Teague celebrates the funny, endearing book that most children will love for many years. I thought this book was great! My 3 year old cousin comes over every so often to spend the night, but has trouble sleeping someplace else other than his home. When I saw this book there was no contemplating buying it, since Justin (my cousin) adores dinosaurs. The pictures are fantastic and the story line is excellent. This book works great when were trying to put him to sleep. The dinosaurs are a good influence in showing children that dinosaurs also give their loved ones hugs and kisses before going to bed, and may even cry a little or throw themselves on the bed. I think a lot of children can relate to this book, and find it enjoyable, and like my cousin, can not wait until we get to read the book. This humorous bedtime story I'm sure will be a hit for anyone who has younger children.
Rating: Summary: an every night read! Review: My two boys (3 years and 18 months old) love this book! My husband thinks it's great and looks forward to reading this book at bedtime. The pictures are great and the story is catchy. My 3 year old loves answering all the questions and knows the story well enought to sit down and "read" it to himself.
Rating: Summary: My Little Dinasour Loved It! Review: This book is a part of our evening ritual with our 2 year old reading most of the pages to us. The illustrations are entertaining for old and young and the story is adorable! Our bedtime routine would be extinct without it!
