Rating: Summary: Probably 1,000,000 stars! Everyone at Girls Camp loved it! Review: It's my most favorite book ever. I really was touched. Definetly worth the buy. I'd give it one million stars+ if I could. No one should dislike this book. I saw the writers point of veiw clearly. A book for all ages (I'm 13)!!!!!
Rating: Summary: A book for both young and old Review: This book can be a wonderful teaching tool in the classroom to talk about self-esteem and how kids feel when someone believes in them and treats them well. Although the context is clearly Judeo-Christian, your own creativity can allow you to use this in public schools without offending children from any spiritual background. I've been reading it to children in kindergarten, grades 1 and 2, and holding their attention is absolutely no problem. More children need to know that they are special no matter how they behave or what they look like. Use this book to pass along this most important message. You can change the world one child at a time.
Rating: Summary: Reminds you that God is always waiting for you to come tohim Review: This is easy reading for young and old to remind us that it only really matters what God sees in us.
Rating: Summary: This book is awesome and every child should here it. Review: This book sums up how we should see ourselves and how God sees us in a very understandable tale of the real truth. If everyone would read this to their child, oh, how our world would change!
Rating: Summary: Beautiful! Review: This is a wonderful book for helping kids to realize how special and perfectly created they are in the eyes of God! I'm buying one now to read to my children -- when I have them!! :o) I would definitely recommend this book for all kids!
Rating: Summary: We need to see ourselves as the maker sees us-not the world. Review: Through the simple story & illustrations for children, Lucado reminds us that we are to draw our self esteem only from the LORD, our maker. He loves us unconditionally JUST the way we are. He made us just like He wanted us and we need to be obedient to His will and use our abilities to the fullest -- undampered by the world. Wonderful self-esteem builder for both children & adults. A must for all children's libraries.
Rating: Summary: What a special way to share God's love with children! Review: The store that I bought this book in had it tucked away on the bottom shelf of a display. But, when I picked it up and read what was inside I was amazed at the simple beauty that it shared. As I read it again at home I weeped because Eli's love for his hand made children is so familiar to the way we can all feel God's love. As we read this to our children they can come to understand more simply our's and God's unconditional love for them. Max Lucado has done a wonderful job!
Rating: Summary: It is a wonderful portrait of true love. Review: I have not read a book to my childern in a number of years that I have liked more. It tells of the unconditional love that only true love can design. The book is written in the spirt of Christianity but will not offend anyone, whatever their religion. The message is true and brings a warm feeling into your home. I can promise a weekly reading.
Rating: Summary: This is a great book!!! Review: Although I am not as young as this was meant for, I read this book when I was pretty depressed, and man was it uplifting!! It is great for focusing on the good side of everybody, and it shows you just how much God really cares about you, and how little He sees the things that the people around us judge us by. I definitely recommend it!
Rating: Summary: Timely message for all children, teenagers, AND adults Review: This book was read to us by a school counselor at a Parent's Advisory Council meeting, hosted by our school district. It was hard to hold back the tears as I was reminded of just how fragile our children are and how we need to treat them as the precious gifts they are, no matter what.
