Summary: my #1 favorite child book of the year! great story & picture
Review: This is a book which I recommend to everyone. Adult and child. It has a simple story line with a great moral lesson. And what great illustrations. my 3 1/2 year old and 4 1/2 year old love it.

Summary: HIGHLY recommended..........a must-read for all!
Review: Many of us need this reassurance that only God's opinion of us is important, and not that of people around us, whether it is good or bad. Ultimately, God is the only one who can see our hearts. Very beautifully illustrated and the picture of Punchinello sitting on his bed just brought tears to my eyes. For all ages.

Review: This is a wonderful story to read to children and help them understand that they are of great worth

Summary: Wonderful, wonderful book
Review: Anyone who has ever read Max Lucado knows that he has a gift for storytelling. This is especially true in "You Are Special." In a world where all of the puppets go around giving each other stars (if they're impressed by you) or dots (if you aren't so impressive or make a mistake), one puppet stands out because of her lack of "marks," either good or bad. When asked about her secret, she refers one dejected puppet to his maker, who explains that all puppets are loved and important no matter what their "marks" and that the "marks only stick if you let them." This book is great for young kids and is useful whether or not the reader is religious. It is simple but teaches a very complex (and important) lesson.

Summary: This book is not just for children, it is for everyone.
Review: This book is not just for children, it is for everyone who was ever hurt by someone else. The illustrations in it are spectacular, and the story is one that grabs your heart every time, and lets one more sticker fall off of you.

Summary: A Splendid Blending of Text and Illustration
Review: The text of this book reads so smooth, and the illustrations are aesthetically pleasing as well as sophisticated. Perhaps what is best though about this childrens book is that nowhere is the "G" word to be found (read: God), and so it is possible to take this book into the public schools and read it to school children (I'd only recommend it to grades K thru 2nd) where they can learn of God's love for them. This book is one of those rare books where the text is great, the illustrations are beautiful to look at and the message is inspirational.

Summary: GREAT WORD PICTURES FOR SELF ESTEEM
Review: THIS IS THE BEST BOOK I HAVE EVER SEEN FOR A CHILD TO RECEIVE THE COMPLETE MESSAGE OF JESUS CHRIST AND RAISE THEIR OWN SELF ESTEEM AT ONE TIME.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Incredible. It speaks to the hearts of young &old.
Review: This book was read to my youth group, when I was 17. Though written for children, it has a message for all.Lucado shows through Eli, the wood carver, that God, our creator, loves us as we are, and He is the only one that we should be concerned with what He thinks of us.

Summary: I'll never be in a "sticky" situation again!
Review: What a gentle way to remind each of us not to be the "stick-er" or the "stick-ee" in life! I shared this book with one co-worker this morning, and by the end of the day we placed a group order for twenty more books! This is a beautiful way to view God's unconditional love for and acceptance of each one of us. Thank you!
