Summary: Great book
Review: I have purchased this book as a gift for four different families. It was a favorite of my son's at two. He quickly mastered the information presented. He loved flipping every single flap each time. Three years later, he still loves to pull it out and flip them. I want to box it with the other things he has outgrown, but he won't let me. It is an incredibly durable book. Some of the flaps are bent but none have torn. This is an educational book not a story book.

Summary: HOURS OF FUN!!
Review: I just recently bought this book for the third time. I had to buy it twice for my own kids, because they ruined the first one. They read it so many times. Now I am buying it for my 2 yr old nephews. The kids love to lift the flaps and they can learn shapes, letters, counting and just have a lot of fun. The sesame characters are very colorful also. For a gift or for your kids, you can't go wrong with this book!!

Summary: Excellent for toddlers!!
Review: I purchased this book eight years ago for my first child. Now, my fourth child is nuts about it too. I was thrilled to see it was still in print since my old copy has just about been worn out. My son always knows where his "ELMO" book is and is always eager to open the flaps. He has learned recognition of letters, numbers and pictures and he enjoys every minute of it!

Summary: Great in the car
Review: I purchased this book for my son for Christmas because he loves lift-the-flap books and Elmo. I thought it would be a great combination. My son enjoys the book tremendously and it's great for rides in the car. It keeps him occupied when he gets bored with looking at the scenery or watching the movie in the entertainment system. Elmo demonstrates important concepts for toddlers and pre-schoolers alike while making learning fun.

The only thing I dislike about the book (and most lift-the-flap books in general) is the potential for ripping. I haven't yet found a book of this nature that could stand up to a toddler's abuse. While I can't blame the book for its construction, I can't rate it 5 stars because of it's durability.

Summary: A MUST HAVE
Review: I purchased this book for my son who was not even 2 years old at the time and wow! This book was a huge success. It was a great way to introduce numbers, letters and opposites. My son could not get enough of it. He is nearly 3 years old now and still loves this book. It is a lot of fun to watch your child know what to expect from the pages and play along with the pictures. Although it is now extremely "used" and in need of replacement due to excessive use (my son may have loved it a little too much!), it is well worth the money of purchasing a new one. My daughter who is currently 6 months will now get her chance to experience Elmo the same way my son did.

Summary: Awesome
Review: Like the review before, this is the 3rd time I've bought this book because it is so loved and worn out. My 22 month old will ask for this book and look and look until she finds it. It is her absolute favorite. She loves all the flaps (and there are lots). We have several other books with flaps, but she always wants this one and she doesn't even really like sesame street yet. This book is not your typical board book size. It is large so it would be hard for a really young baby(say 9 mo.) to hold it. Buy it. It is wonderful.

Review: My 1 year old loves this book. There are tons of flaps for her to open and play with. Good book

Summary: One of the favorites
Review: My 14 month old loves this book. We bought it for him when he was a year old and he seems to never tire of looking at it. It is a great confidence builder and learning tool. I can ask him "where's your wagon?" and he'll flip open the "W" flap to show me. Of course, he loves the praise he gets for doing that in front of his grandparents!

Summary: My son won't put it down
Review: My 20 month old son absolutely loves this book especially the first two pages. He loves to lift the flaps and name what's inside and also loves it when we ask him to point to Elmo and his friends and various objects. I think we may have to buy another book since this one is so worn out.
