Rating: Summary: The absolute best! Review: Kid's , and parents will love the rollicking rhymes of Jamberry. One of the few kids books that I can stand to hear (and read) over and over again. The pictures are beautiful, and kids see new details everytime they look at them. My kids have enjoyed this book for years, and even know the afterword by heart, for that's where Mr. Degen discusses how he used to pick berries when he was a kid. Get it in hardcover or boardbook-this is a book you will want to save for your grandchilderen!
Rating: Summary: Very Fun Review: I first read Jamberry to my son when he was 6 months old. He laughed and giggled the whole way through and 7 months later when I tell him to pick a book to read- more times than not it's Jamberry! He points to the pictures and tries to pick the berries. This is a great book for a young child who doesn't like to sit still, the rhymes and pictures grab their attention.
Rating: Summary: splendid, worth to buy Review: My daughter loves it more and more. First time, she just tries to pick up the berries. Now she pickes it up wherever it is. When we read the story for her, she sits there untill we finish reading it. She giggles when the canoe turns over from dam. She is only 11 months, but she turns the pages one by one, again and again, touches the bear, the berries... more than one hour. Reading and playing this book so far becomes one of her favorest thing. We feel that it was right to buy this book for her.
Rating: Summary: lovely book Review: My baby loves this book very much. She always try to pick up a piece of berry from book.
Rating: Summary: What rhyming fun! Review: My daughter said "OHH" for the first time when we turned the page and all the berries had fallen out of the canoe. Beautiful pictures and fun rhymes to go along.
Rating: Summary: Fabulous!!! Review: This book is one of my favorite children's books ever written. It is fun, sweet and my babies have loved it. I give it to every mother to be that I know!!!
Rating: Summary: I Want Berries! Great Book For Kids Review: Our three year old "reads" the book from memory -even the last two paragraph afterward by the author. Theillustrations are fun and the text is wonderful. Great book Mr. Degen!
Rating: Summary: A ride through berryland you'll want to take time after time Review: The best children's book out there. Wonderful ryhming text presented with colorful, fanciful illustrations. A story you will want to share at any age. We started with the board book and have moved onto the hardcover as my son has aged. A treat everytime we open the cover.
Rating: Summary: My daughter's favorite book!!! Review: My daughter often reaches for this book, even if it's among others on the floor. We have been reading it together since she was 3 months old. While she loves to have me read it to her, and claps her hands with glee at the sing-songy text, she also enjoys "reading" it to herself and looking at the beautiful illustrations (as she's doing right now). When I don't have the book with me, all I have to say is, "One berry, two berry, pick me a blueberry" to make her laugh with delight. I highly recommend this book!!!
Rating: Summary: A real language-developer! Review: I have a 4-year-old daughter and a 2-year-old son. This book has been the favorite of both. They began to choose it as very small children, and then they began to "read" it along with me, word for word! (And some of the words are quite challenging.) I believe it has helped them with language development, and I know it has contributed to their love of reading. If you're only going to buy one book for your toddler, make it this one.
