Summary: What a wonderful book for kids and adults
Review: My 5-year-old daughter loves this book and asked for it before I had even heard of it. It is delightful, clever, witty and wise.

Summary: baby's first subversive book
Review: Doreen Cronin has penned a little masterpiece here and, oh, does Farmer Brown have a problem!

This is a book that can be enjoyed at many age levels. Young children will appreciate the absurdity of farm animals typing, and older kids and adults will enjoy the progressive message of farm animals' collective bargaining. I am making a gift of this book to children *and* adults I know. Fun illustrations are brush drawings with watercolor washes, and feature cows, chickens, a (neutral) duck and a rather distraught farmer.

Our two-year-old runs around the house saying "click clack moo". Just wonderful.

Summary: Storytelling, GREAT BOOK
Review: I stumbled upon this book, while browsing the childrens section of the library. I ended up performing it for my Speech Tournment, and it was GREAT. Perfectly even dialouge, and plenty of laughter. I ranked 1st in my Storytelling Division.
And I came to love the story even after that. My little brother thinks its kinda stupid...but he's 9. So I reccommend it for YOUNG kids, or Young Adults with a sense of humor.

Click Clack..MOO...

Summary: Extremely disappointing.
Review: The book is mildly amusing, but that's about it. I was very disappointed as the premise held such promise. But the book is overly repetitive (how many times do you have to say Click Clack Moo before it dtrarts to grate? Ferwe than are required by the text, that's for sure), the drawings are not very impressive (too many are too dark and amorphous) and the story, such as it is, doesn't amount to much.

I think most kid's at the lower end of the target age range will like it OK, but for the life of me I can't imagine how anyone familiar with any of the classics of literature aimed at this age group could ever regard this as that sort of effort. It's mediocre at best.

If you want a great book for this target age get Courduroy, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, Gregory the Terrible Eater or Bailer Goes Camping--all much better stories that are far less expensive than this book.

Summary: Current favorite of my 3 year old son.
Review: Every time we read this book, which has been at least twice daily, each of us laugh. It is silly enough for a child to giggle with and just as funny for an adult. (even through numurous reads!!!) We are ordering copies for three of my son's friends.

Summary: An Important Book for All Ages
Review: 'Click Clack Moo' is a book that dares to ask the question, "What if cows got hold of a typewriter?" The result is a chilling vision of a dystopia where cows rule through fear and intimidation. Only one man, Farmer Brown, finds the courage to challenge the cows' dominance. He allies with a group of ducks to help end the reign of terror - but has he truly found a solution, or does the conspiracy run even deeper than he suspected?

This book is ideal as a sort of introduction to the works of George Orwell. Upon completion of 'Click Clack Moo', a child is ready to explore the themes of the book in Orwell's 'Animal Farm' and '1984'...

Summary: The Barn is Closed, No Milk
Review: This is destined to be a classic book. Excelent illustrations and the humorous story makes this book very enjoyable for my 3 1/2 year old son. He laughs at the cows and hens antics. Highly recommended for preschoolers and up.

Summary: I LOVE this book!
Review: This is one of my favorite children's books (the other is the true story of the three little pigs which my two and half year old daughter is too young to sit through yet.) I love the humor and never get tired of reading it to her. I know the jokes go over her head but no matter, she loves the repetitive refrain of click clack moo and all of the farm animals. Perhaps words such as ultimatum are a bit lofty for a children's book but I look foward to discussing it's meaning with my daughter one day. It's great to have a new vocabulary words to learn instead of reading the same baby words over and over again. Although the vocabulary is a bit sophisticated, the plot of the story is simple enough for her to follow without losing intrest. This is a book I reach for over and over again. Can't wait for the new one!

Summary: I love this book but Who realy wrote this book the AFL-CIO?
Review: Click Clack Moo is a hilarious and easy to read childrens book that teaches children the power of collective bargaining and strength in numbers. The cows you see are not happy with thier living quarters and so go on strike, the chickens then join them until ultimately they reach a satisfactory agreement with Farmer Brown. The illustrations are simple yet detailed and contain a quality that highlights the hillarity of the story. This is a wonderfully entertaining book that belongs in the household of every union suppoerter that has young children.
