Summary: Parents will love to read it
Review: I search for books that are simple enough to read to my 18-month-old daughter, yet interesting enough for my husband and I to read over and over again. After all, you can't convey a love of reading if you're bored out of your mind. With Click Clack Moo, there's no fear of that. We laughed out loud several times the first time we read this, and it still makes us giggle. My daughter often chooses it for us to read first at bedtime, and I'm not sure whether it's because she enjoys the story and pictures, or because she wants to see us laugh. This will have a special place on our bookshelf for a long time.

Summary: Worker Solidarity & Unionization
Review: Teach your children the power of unions, work-stoppage, and solidarity amongst workers. As cows and chickens rise up against the oppressive farmer and his poor working conditions, young and old alike can delight in the magic of collective bargaining and the power of the proletariat.

Summary: Hilarious!
Review: I purchased this book for my daughter after I heard other parents talking about what a gem it is, and I couldn't agree more! My daughter enjoyed it, but I'm sure that I enjoyed it even more. She's moved on to chapter books now, but she will occasionally pull this book off the shelf and read it aloud to me just to see my reaction. It's still hilariously funny after many, many reads. I've already started reading it to my 2 year old.

Summary: A MUST-HAVE for your children's library!!!
Review: We read a LOT of library books, to save buying so many...but when we read this one, my first thought was, "I've GOT to get this one!" (and I started thinking of how many relatives and friends I could buy it for!) It's just too cute! It's one of those endearing stories that Moms love to read again and again! AND...next thing I did was find another book by the same author... "Giggle, Giggle, Quack!" You will want both of these books...your children will never tire of them, and each time you read them, you laugh again! The story AND the illustrations are superb!

Summary: Perfect Book for a Dairy Farmer's Daughter to Give
Review: Because I read a recent article about Laura Bush reading this book to a group of children in a Texas library, I learned of this book. The many reviews already tell you the content of the book.

I went to the library to check it out. I LOVE THE BOOK!

EVERY child should know about this book. Just as the Three Little Pigs is a classic, this book should become a classic for this century.

Summary: A tale of labor negotiations
Review: How can you not love a book that has cows demanding electric blankets? Children love the incongruity of typing cows on strike - I think they may identify with the animals who were previously powerless. The resolution shows the value of measured negotiation, of give and take and compromise.

Books that can entertain children and not bore their parents are gems to be cherished. Funny, funny book.

Summary: A must have for new readers!
Review: We received this book as a gift from a neighbor. We love it. It's hilarious and the kids get a kick out of personification.

Summary: Cows with Typewriters!?
Review: Doreen Cronin's Caldecott award-winning story 'Click, Clack, Moo!' is a delightful and wacky tale of how cows try to get the attention of Farmer Brown who ignores them. The cows feel that the farmer is neglecting them of what they need. So these smart bovines find stashed away in the barn an old typewriter, and they get the idea to type messages to the farmer. They leave them in places to get him to give them blankets when they're cold. They leave them in all sorts of places to remind the farmer of being more responsible. Since Farmer Brown refuses the cows go on strike. The strike puts all of them in a fix and they must meet some agreeable to settle their differences. With the help of an impartial DUCK, it doesn't seem Farmer Brown is out of the forest yet. It seems everyone on the farm gets the hang of it.

This funny story could help parents to teach their kids about give and take, being cooperative and learn to work out things peacefully. The kids will get a kick out of the impartial DUCK. I did. It'll tickle anyone's funnybone over the slapstick antics of the animals. I mean, who can turn down a book of literate cows who get Farmer Brown's barnyard turned all upside down. I recommend this highly!

Summary: Fun for ALL ages...
Review: This is a hilarious book! I am a student at WV State College and was required to read a Caldecott Honor Book. However, I had already purchased this book because we checked it out from the library and I loved it. So to keep from continuously checking it out, I bought a copy--the entire family loves it.

The book deals with negotiation and compromise. I think it could even be used on a higher level than just early elementary. As a future teacher, I see myself pulling this book out when we talk about government and the law making process.

Summary: I Enjoy Reading This To My 4 Year Old!
Review: Doreen Cronin gave us 2 wonderful books with Click Clack Moo and Giggle Giggle Quack! I struggle to find books I enjoy reading to my daughter and know they will get her attention. I want books that encourage her to read to me. My 14 year old daughter even enjoys reading these funny books to her sister. My youngest has begun reviewing what she has hear after each book is finished and that tells me she enjoys reading.

Ms. Cronin, I thank you and hope to enjoy more of these stories. My child giggles every time her sister yells, "DUCK!"
