Summary: Get on board with Sandra Boynton!
Review: Other titles in the "Boynton on Board" series (with over 1.5 million copies in print) include Birthday Monsters!, Oh My Oh My Oh Dinosaurs! and One, Two, Three! Each full-color board book is suitable for children ages 1-4.

Summary: Bonton at her best!
Review: Try adopting the do-si-do sing-song voice of a square dance caller if you want to elicit some serious giggles. When I read this book to my 10 month old daughter, her older sisters dance around the room following my lead bowing, promenading, and scrambling with the little chicks (CHEEP CHEEP CHEEP!). This is absolutely, positively our favorite book to read together. One caveat...make sure to read this book over and over to yourself before attempting to read it aloud to your children. The rhymes are so clever it took me a while before I could read it without getting too tickled to go on

Summary: A wonderful square-dance for the farm!
Review: I love the square-dance caller's rhythm of this book. It's so easy to memorize, sing, chant, make silly noises with. My 2 year old son says "Read it again!" at the end every single time. My six year old daughter dances around while I read it to him. Everyone is equally entertained by this book: listener, observer, and most definitely reader! A true 5 star book.

Summary: GREAT BOOK!!!!
Review: I bought this book for my son when he was 8 months old. Now he's 2 and he picks the books to read before bed. Every night this is the first book he picks from the shelf and we must read it several times. He loves the rhythm, words, and pictures. He learned his animals from this book. I highly recommend it.

Summary: Great Book!!!!!!!
Review: We love most of Boynton's books, but this one is really wonderful! My two girls (5 and 3) made up their own dance to match the book. I can't believe how much fun we have reading a book.

Summary: Lots of dancing fun
Review: If you have a toddler that enjoys music, rhythm & dancing like our 18-month-old, this book will be a big hit. After reading this book, our daughter loves to get down on the floor and do a little dance herself. This can continue for some time, so if you want to burn up an afternoon, you could do worse than this book.

Summary: A wonderful story and activity book combined!
Review: Another winner from Sandra Boynton! This wonderful book combines her classic, adorable animal characters with square dance-like commands to make it a participatory activity. Even the youngest of toddlers should be able to follow the simple instructions such as "bow to the horse - bow to the cow." As they get older, they will love repeating the fun sound effects as well, from "cheep cheep cheep!" to "quack quack quack!" Of course, each stanza also rhymes beautifully, further delighting the little ones and making it a joy to read for parents. When my niece was about 20 months old, she never tired of hearing this book and doing the dance--there was nothing cuter than seeing her do her little bow to start it off! This book will provide hours of fun for both the kids AND the adults--highly recommended!

Summary: A Favorite!
Review: This peppy little book full of fun dancing barnyard animals has become an absolute favorite for both of my kiddos. I've learned from listening to my brother-in-laws attempt, though, that it's definitely best read in a kind of sing-songy way with some rhythm! My kids memorized it easily and love to tap to the beat while laughing at the sillly characters. Fun every time!

Summary: My 2 year old loves it.
Review: Sandra Boynton's books are so rhythmic that you can't help singing or at least reading in cadence. It's good for me at the end of a hard day to lose myself in the reading of her books. It's just good to act silly, and her books almost require that we adults do that. It's good to be cajoled iinto that.

Barnyard Dance is particularly fun. And reading it (or singing it, which is what I generally end up doing) always elicits, "Do again, Daddy!" from my young ones.
