Summary: one of the very best books for the young set!
Review: We started reading this book to our son when he was 6 months old. He's 4 now, and can "read" the book to us - we all know it by heart. And when we share the story, we often sing it and dance along with the cow and pig and chickens and company. The pictures are marvelously bright and fun, and the lilting words of the story are so catchy you have to make up a tune and sing out the story.

Review: I find myself quoting the book to my 4-month-old son while I'm changing his diaper, or just carrying him from one place in the house to another. It's got fun lyrics and it really reads like a square dance person would call it. Love it.

Review: A great board book all kids seem to love, and parents never tire of reading it aloud to them! This book should be in every toddler's personal library. It's has good rhythm/cadence and is good all around fun!

Review: We are great Sandra Boynton fans and this is our favorite book. Our infant daughter loves this book. The rhyme is very fun and song like. We usually make the noise for each animal in the book which she loves. We read this book daily!

Review: This is a great board book--perfect for infants and toddlers (and up!) It has cute animal illustrations as well as rhyming lines. My daughter was read this book when she was days old and it is still one of her favorites at age five. Also, I find that it makes the perfect baby shower present.

Review: This one is loved by my son. He can do the noises of all the animals. We read it with him cover to cover and he usually wants to read it more than once.You can easily read this like a square-dance song, vis-a-vis the Bugs Bunny cartoon with the two hillbillys. Lots of pictures of barnyard animals, funny situations, and great rhymes.

Review: Takes me back to my grammar school square dance days. May make a bit more sense to parents than kids (what with animals promenading) but I think it's one of her better books. I'd give it a thumbs up. It's easy to read this one enthusiastically.

Review: The CD that goes with this book is wonderful! I listen to it with my grandson while he plays and he'll often stop playing to sing along or dance with me. The songs are very cute and fun to sing along with. And.... best of all, the songs are actually very pleasant listening.
