Summary: It's pooperific!
Review: My husband and I spotted this book in a bookstore over ten years ago. We immediately purchased one copy for ourselves and one for his sister. And that was before any of us had kids! We just couldn't believe a book had been published on this subject. The illustrations are hysterical. (Most potty books show the child in question sitting on a potty, but you never actually see anything falling in.)

Now I have a 5-year-old who tends to be constipated. This is one of his favorite books for reading on the potty. Sometimes he gives a push for each animal in the book. It's very reassuring for him to know that everyone poops.

Summary: Good book on teaching kids body functions
Review: Excellent book with easy to understand content. Useful for teaching kids one of the basic body functions without shame.

Summary: A Book to Spur Conversations About Poop
Review: There are some things adults do not like to talk about. Generally speaking, poop is one of those things. (Except for those adults who are poop-fixated and seem unable to talk about anything else-- but let's forget about them for now.)

Learning to about poop is one of life's first traumas for many children. Pooping is probably the first "something we don't talk about" that many children encounter. (Unfortunately, there will be more.) There is absolutely no reason not to talk comfortably about poop, however, since, as this book aptly demonstrates, everybody (and every thing)does it.

"Everybody Poops" is an excellent ice breaker. It allows a child to think and talk about something that is undoubtedly on his or her mind. It helps adults talk with children about something they want and need to know-- but that adults are too often uncomfortable discussing.

Don't leave your child in the dark. Read "Everybody Poops" together. It is a good precedent to set for dealing with and talking about those "untouchable" issues.

Summary: Ah, stinky-- whoops, I mean, sweet revenge...
Review: After receiving the infamous Japanese import 'The Gas We Pass' as a Christmas gag gift from some family friends last year, I decided to look for a little something to strike back at 'em with for next year. Fortunately, I found what I was looking for: 'Everybody Poops', which, if you think about it, makes for a fitting companion piece to the flatulence tome I received for yuletide.

Like 'The Gas We Pass', 'Everybody Poops' is part of a series of simple and amusingly straightforward children's books from Japan that cover those oh-so-unpleasant body functions. This one, obviously, goes over fecal matters, which is a natural cycle for all members of the animal kingdom. Some really fun (although somewhat crude (in more ways than one!)) watercolor illustrations of various animal species (including humans) performing the titular function are included.

Needless to say, I can hardly wait 'til next Christmas-- it'll be the ultimate payback!

'Late!

Summary: Poops Galore!
Review: This book is great! Since it makes me feel like pooping, I keep it in my bathroom for when I get constipated. To bad it doesn't have a scratch-and-sniff page.

Summary: Not a good word to teach kids
Review: I really disapprove of teaching kids words such as 'p*op' and 'f*rt'. These words are inappropriate and offensive. It is not cute to hear toddlers say these things. They must be taught the correct wording for bodily functions. Very bad example for our youth.

Summary: I stoop to poop
Review: This book rocks. I have never read such an intriging book on the stuff that comes out of the anus. I love having it read to me on Christmas morning. It is a great conversationalist piece, and fun for the whole family. By "Everyone poops" and it will surely become a family heir-loom!

Summary: Love it!
Review: My 2 year old is obsessed with "poopy". When we started to potty train her, she was upset when she did a poopy. To address this problem, we bought Everyone Poops. She loves it and the phrase, "It's OK, because everyone poops!" has become a favorite in our household. I highly recommend this one!

Summary: I never knew...
Review: It happens that I have somehow made it into my mid-twenties not knowing that everybody else poops too. I thought maybe there was something wrong with me... Anyway, I think this light-hearted approach to bodily functions is a great way to ease insecurity and self-consciousness in our kids now (when they read this book)and later in life as they deal with the horrors of puberty... How else can I praise this ingenius (and greatly funny to big kids like me...) book other than saying it truly is a bunch of crap. The only thing that would have made this better would be pop up images of...

Summary: Wonderful
Review: This is the best book I've ever read. It's unlike all those other books that taught me something. I didn't think anybody pooped until I read this book. Thank you for writing this book.
