Even though I'm a teenager, I continually pick up this book and read it again. It's especially adorable to read this book to a four year old friend of mine and hear him continually turn the pigeon down. I just hope that someday, he will stand up to peer pressure in the same way. This is a must read for everyone. What's the big deal? It's just a bus!

The art work is a wonderful accompaniment to this story of a single-minded pigeon who only wants to drive the bus. The question is, will you give in to the many attempts by the pigeon to convince you to let him. Simply a must have for any who enjoying reading to and with their children!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Simply but Funny Review: This is an absolutly funny book. It's as much to read it as it is to hear it being read. It's along the lines of Click, Clack, Moo - you're children will wonder why you're chuckling more than they are
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: An absolute must have Review: This is one of the most awesome picture books to come out in a while. The illustrations seem simplistic until you begin to read the book and then you are amazed at the depth of expression that they actually portray. The author is right smack dab in the head of an elementary school kid. "Please!" "I'll be your best friend." "I'll give you five dollars." "Your mom would let me." He implores you to let him drive the bus, just once. It's terrific for a group read-aloud. This book is charming and will delight readers of all ages.

My two year old has this book memorized and it is his current favourite. The pictures are wonderful as is the story itself.

I read this book to my niece's first grade class and they absolutely loved it. My niece liked it so much she needed a copy of her own when the school book fair came around. I definitely recommend it. And make sure to check out the other "Pigeon" books like "The Pigeon Finds a Hotdog"...great book too. There are two more to come out in April '05 and I can't wait!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Simply Hilarious! Review: Truly a masterpiece! After many readings, this story still makes me laugh out loud. With only a few simple lines and a minimal amount of dialouge, Mo Willems has created a memorable character in this coniving pigeon who will do anything to drive a bus. The local librarian told me that this book was a big hit at story hour, with the children actively telling the pigeon "No! You can't drive the bus!" Maybe I still have the mind set of a preschooler, because I found it just as entertaining, so much so that my best friend gave it to me for my 43rd birthday. In my opinion, it's one of the best children's books of the year. True story.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Pure magic Review: We got this from the library and my three year old son fell in love. Within two or three days he was "reading" it to me - the first book he ever learned by heart.
He was thrilled to receive his own copy for Christmas. I heartily recommend it to any parent. It may not be the easiest book to read your child, because it requires interaction, but that's precisely why it's so wonderful.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! Review: What a wonderful and expressive way to make children of all ages laugh! Not since Seseme Street's "The Monster at the End of the Book: Starring lovable, furry old Grover" have I been so excited to get to the end of a book. Not only is it an enjoyable book for me to read, but the visions I get when I think of the next group of youngsters that I read it to thrill me! The simple, yet animated illistrations leave it wide open for each storyteller/reader to imagine all that is possible.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: FUNNY FUNNY BOOK Review: What a wonderful book. Simple drawings and a hysterical story line. My kids love the participation aspect of the book. They get to be a character in the book, by keeping watch on the bus. They laugh so hard that sometimes I have to stop reading so they can catch their breath. Definetly recommend this book highly.
