Rating: Summary: My almost 3 year old's favorite Review: The three book collection was hidden on my son's shelf from the time he received it from our priest as a gift when he was a new born. I found it a couple of months ago, and since then we have been reading the stories every evening and often during the day too. No matter how many of the stories I have read, my son asks for more and more. Since I have to read the stories every night, I am happy that they are adorable and entertaining for even the adult.
Rating: Summary: Classic tale of eternal friendship Review: This is a beautiful and touching tale with lovely illustrations. But instead of buying this alone, I suggest you buy the FROG AND TOAD TREASURY which includes the first three FROG AND TOAD volumes together in one edition. Then get DAYS WITH FROG AND TOAD and you'll have them all.
Rating: Summary: Adventurously Good Review: This is a book that I grew up reading. I think that it is a great book. It has many adventurous stories in it. Some parts of it are funny. I like how they use a frog and toad for the characters, it makes the story a little more interesting. The book also involves a little bit of trickery. I would definitely recommend this to kids that want to read a good book. It contains some good points throughtout the book. It also shows about friendship. I really liked this book.

Rating: Summary: Frog and Toad Are Friends Review: This is an all time favorite of mine since i was a kid. i hope this classic lives on forever. the times frog and toad spend together always reminded me of how my best friend and i spent our times together. always a learning experience, and always having fun. frog and toad learn very many important lessons on life in these stories, but most important, they learn the value of friendship-a value the children of today seem to lack anymore. i would reccomend any of the frog and toad series to any parent to read to thier children. they are some of the best available.
Rating: Summary: oh my! how i LOVE this book Review: this is the first -- and arguably the best -- of arnold lobel's brilliant frog & toad books. in simple prose and witty drawings, he manages to establish the strength of a beautiful and lasting friendship between two seemingly incompatible characters. i have given this book as a gift to a few friends over the years, but only those who have the capacity to truly understand. and the book is so low priced, you would be foolish not to buy this and all three sequels at the same time: reading them one after the other is a lovely way to wile away an afternoon.
Rating: Summary: Good Classic Review: This seems to be a good classic for children beginning to read. However, it just wasn't my son's "cup of tea". However, I know many children like this book very much. It is a good book for late first graders, early second graders, or children reading at an equivalent level.
Rating: Summary: The Charm of Childhood Review: With the added benefit of the tape read by Arnold Lobel, my 3 and 6-year-olds love the warm, silly exchanges between Frog and Toad. The stories captivate, charm, and engage young children, and the very recognizable personality differences between the two characters help children identify with their own differences. A plus for any bookshelf.
Rating: Summary: Children grades one to three will enjoy reading this well cr Review: Would you pour a glass of water on yourself and then proceed tostand on your head for the sake of making a friend feel better? Toaddoes exactly that in an attempt to think of a story for his sick friend, Frog. In this Caldecott Honor winning easy reader, Frog and Toad are Friends, Arnold Lobel lovingly illustrates the friendship between these two amphibians. Whether searching for lost buttons, swimming in a nearby river, or writing letters, Frog and Toad are always there for each other. The unpredictable and humorous actions of these charming characters grab reader attention, keeping them engrossed in the story. Toad says, "Frog, you are looking quite green," and Frog replies, "But I always look green, I am a frog." Lobel carefully chooses easy-to-read words and uses repetition throughout the five short episodes of the book. He combines sight words and short words that can be decoded fairly easily to construct sentences accessible to the beginner reader. The large typeface and ample space between both the lines and words of the text make the book approachable for young children. Pictures on each page depict Frog and Toad's actions clearly enough to provide struggling readers with clues to decode any unfamiliar words. Children grades one to three will enjoy reading this well crafted story that depicts a wonderful friendship between the two delightful characters.
