But, I took for granted that this would be a normal sized kid book, or even one of the little kid board books. This is a tiny little thing that's smaller than my planner. On top of it all, it's not the same story as I remember, and I have a "real" one on my shelf that I didn't want to give her yet because it was mine from when I was a kid. I thought I was getting a board book version of that, but I guess not.
But little kids are indiscriminating and she would enjoy it if I read Good Housekeeping to her. At least I won't feel too bad when she gnaws it, and it does have the letters in handy toddler format.

Reading and sharing the illustrations to my three month old granddaughter kept her spellbound and attentive. We as parents/grandparents must understand that learning begins in utero, and this book continues a logical progression for lifelong learning. I give this book two grand parental thumbs up!!!!!

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A sweet-pea version of an old classic Review: This irresistible rhyming board book dances through the alphabet with the infectious cadence and zany illustrations that bear the hallmark of Seuss. ("Big F, little f, what begins with F? Four fluffy feathers on a Fiffer-feffer-feff.") I see a customer wrote that the board version cannot compare with the original hardcover. I have both versions and they don't differ drastically. Either way, what child or grown-up can resist "Ten tired turtles on a tuttle-tuttle tree..."

It's the perfect length to hold my 6 month old's attention - 1 to 2 letters per page! It has wonderful rhymes and is easy to memorize! It has great colours and illustrations. My little one can hold it while we read, without worry of ripping pages. I recommend it to all parents.

I have found that not only do they like to have the book read to them, but they like to chew it as well! Another advantage to the smaller board book is that they are easier for traveling. Wonderful book for learning the alphapet in the fun Dr. Seuss way!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: The best way to learn the alphabet Review: This is a great learning tool for children as well as a fun book for parents to read. My daughter had me read this book to her so often that I still have it memorized and she knew her ABC's by sight by the time she was a year-and-a-half old. This is the best tool out there to teach children the alphabet.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Great intruduction to the alphabet Review: This is one of son's(18 months) most favorite books. He loves the rhymes of the book and asks me to read to him again and again. He also loves to follow me reading the letters and the words in the book. I contribute my son's love of learning alphabet partly to this great book.
