Summary: Great!
Review: A great book to teach body parts to your little one. My daughter loves to lift the flaps to see what is underneath them. A wonderful book!

Summary: Quality Time for Toddlers and Parents
Review: All of Karen's books are beautifully illustrated with developmentally appropriate subject matter. Her books are the ones my toddler seems to love best right now. They are just the right length and allow the interaction of a young child to lift up the flaps. Every day we read at least 2 little books (one at bedtime and one after lunch. I'd like to also recommend Sue Boyton's books...one of our favorites is "MOO, BAA, LA,LA,LA" For positive discipline tips for parents with toddlers we also recommend THE POCKET PARENT.

Summary: A monumental achievement in writing
Review: Certain to go down in history as a monumental achievement in literature is Toes, Ears, & Nose!, the lift-the-flap book of the century! It's better than The Great Gatsby, almost as good as The Sun Also Rises.

Summary: Toes, Ears, & Nose - A RIP the Flap Book!
Review: I bought Karen Katz's 'Where is Baby's Belly Button' book which we loved as a family. So, I was deeply disappointed when I bought a couple months later, Toes, Ears, & Nose. This book is also a lift the flap book but the flaps rip SO easily. My son who has not yet ripped Where is Baby's Belly Button, ripped this one within the first day of getting it. The problem is, alot of the flaps are too small! The mittens, earmuffs, hands and sunglass flaps are so small that they tear much more easily than the bigger flaps of the other book. Dont waste your money!

Summary: 'Me' at the end!
Review: I bought this book for my 19 month old and was worried she would destroy the flaps, but so far she hasn't! I also was worried that it would be too simple for her since she already knew most of her body parts, but she loves it anyways-- especially the last page with 'Me' underneath the blanket. She now picks up this book and says 'me!' while trying to find that page. She also loves the elbow page and looks for my elbow and laughs when it 'disapears' when I straighten my arm out.

Summary: My Daughters favorite!
Review: I cannot say enough wonderful things about this book. Karen Katz has such wonderful illusration thate appeal to young children. We have almost all of her books, but this on is my daughter's favorite. She takes it almost everywhere with her, and somethime even sleeps with it too! It has been read so many time that I had to buy another copy, but it was money well spent.

Summary: Not as good...
Review: I have bought several Karen Katz books over the last year for our granddaughter. She enjoys Where's Baby's Bellybutton, but Toes,Ears,&Nose is not as good. Many of the flaps are very small and thin and do rip easily.Earmuffs? How many kids wear earmuffs?Under my coat is my back?True, but also a shirt under the coat. This book should have been written better than this.

Summary: Great Book
Review: Just like peek-a-boo, but my baby gets rough with the flaps, one of which we had to glue back on within two days of receiving the book. But, it's definitely a winner.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Great illustrations, but flimsy flaps
Review: My son really loves this book with its colorful pictures, but I need to keep it out of his hands if I want the flaps to stay put.

Each page has a sentence, the first part is on the page and the last part is on the cardboard flap when you lift it. For example, "In my boots I've got" is written on the page. You lift up the cardboard boot flap and it says, "toes" and toes are revealed on the page. The flaps are made of very thin cardboard and bend or get folded easily. Also, they are not glued on very securely. A small portion is adhered to the page and they can easily be ripped off. If this happens, it's still a good book to look at, but the last part of the sentence has disappeared with the flap.

This book is for babies to look at, but not touch.

Summary: Great book, but...
Review: My ten month old loves his Karen Katz books (we have four of them). He loves to lift the flaps as we go, but sometimes he gets excited and tears them right off -- the flaps are paper thin in this book. It seems like we're always repairing them. But that's the only downside...the illustrations are colorful and we always touch his nose when we get to the nose page and his ears, etc and he giggles. They're very cute books. I just wish they were sturdier.
