Summary: A peek into a child's world
Review: Although these books were first written about 40 years ago they are still fresh and new for each child to discover. The author allows the reader a peek into the world of our children; sweet and endearing. These books now available in board book format for the youngest listeners are the perfect bedtime books to soothe a youngster off to sleep. "Runaway Bunny" assures each child of the parent's unconditional love. "Goodnight Moon" not only offers a sweet way to say goodnight to familiar objects, but may even help establish a bedtime ritual that will help your child get ready for sleep, and "Big Red Barn" offers a perfect introduction to animals; their sounds and families. All in all this collection makes a great addition to a well established children's library, or a great foundation.

Summary: Love the trio!
Review: Big Red Barn is a BIG HIT in my house and my daughter is only 6 months old! This is followed by Goodnight Moon. She's a little too young for The Runaway Bunny. The illustrations aren't as colorful or fun as the other two, but I know when she gets older it will also be a favorite. Definitely recommend this trio for parents!

Summary: Three wonderful toddler books you'll enjoy reading too
Review: I bought this set when my baby was 3 months old. We started reading him Goodnight Moon every night as part of his settling routine - we thought it was just a nice, short, repetitive little bedtime book that could be read in about 4 minutes. Well, it's turned out to be so much more than that. Our son is now almost 2 and he still has Goodnight Moon as the last story of the night, every night. He loves hearing the little bunny saying Goodnight to everything in his room, a routine we also perform as part of our bedtime wind down. He still laughs at "Goodnight Nobody" and we still enjoy reading it. Thats a tough call for a book we've read about 1500 times. He has a second copy for his bookcase because he loves this story so much that he pulls it out to read most days (and we are more than a little afraid of the precious bedtime book being lost!) It is such an integral part of his sleep routine that it is the first thing we pack to take on holidays. This book has given us a lot of pleasure, and has played a big part in a wonderful sleep routine.He began a love affair with Big Red Barn at about 14 months and it remains a strong favourite - often on his bedtime reading choices. The wonderful poetry is a joy to read aloud and we all know it by heart. He loves the animal noises (espescially the rooster), counting the eggs under the hen and whispering so as not to wake the animals who are sound asleep in the bed red barn. I love reading him this book. My favourite. The Runaway Bunny was a hit for a short while when he was about 12 months old - probably because I did a funny voice for the little bunny. It fell out of favour as the text was too long for a younger baby. For the last few weeks though, this has re-emerged as THE book. The one he hunts for in his bookcase. The one he runs up the hall and thrusts into my hands before plopping into my lap, bright eyed and waiting. He loves to point out the baby bunny hiding in the crocus, help the mother blow her sailboat bunny across the water and to swing his arms like he's flying on a flying trapeze. He waits gleefully for the mother (and me) to catch her little bunny in her arms and give him a big hug - surely a big cuddle must be the best ending for any toddler reading session? This set has been a real trasure. I read Goodnight Moon as a child but has not encountered the other 2. Discovering them has given us all a lot of pleasure. Each has become a real and lasting favourite - these books never inspire the "PLEASE not again. I'll go quite MAD" response. A wonderful new baby gift, or present for grandparents who love to share the joy of reading with their grandchildren.

Review: I purchased this set for my son when he was 3 months old. He is now 21/2 years old and can recite along with me all of "Good Night Moon". These books are classics and an easy read. In addition, the vibrant pictures and stories will hold the babies attention. It's a must have for any child's library.

Review: In Baby's First Library, we have the oppourtunity to see the remarkable artwork that fans of Margaret Wise Brown have treasured for decades. We hear the beloved rhymes and poems, and we take the sentiment to heart. A mother rabbit following her dear little bunny wherever he goes; a child's room at bedtime. These things, such as a mother's love and concern, and a child's innocence and playfulness, are things that we often take for granted. Margaret Wise Brown has helped her readers become more aware of the wonders around them, and has made me forever thankful for what I have.

Review: Originally written in the 1940's, these classic children's books will still delight your baby or toddler. The youngest baby is lulled to sleep by the gentle rhymes, and will enjoy the bright colors and charming illustrations as he or she gets older."Goodnight Moon" depicts a young bunny rabbit awake in his bed as he tells all the objects and animals he can see "Goodnight". He lists everything he can see, including his mittens, some kittens, and of course the moon. Toddlers will begin to appreciate the make-believe world of "The Runaway Bunny", in which a mother bunny tells her child she will be there to keep him safe no matter where he runs to. The bright colors of "Big Red Barn" are intriguing to little ones, and will help teach the names of many animals,too. The board books are ideal for the youngest readers, as they can easily help turn the pages. It is difficult for a child younger than 2 years old to turn the paper pages of most books.These are three excellent books to add to your child's library and start the happy tradition of reading!

Summary: I wish I could give these books to every child in the world
Review: These are the books your children will take to bed with them every night. Goodnight Moon has been my daughter's favorite bedtime book for 2 years, the one she HAS to have read to her before she can fall asleep. It must be the lyrical prose, and the illustrations that FEEL like a bedtime snuggle...this is the book I buy as a gift for every new parent. Runaway Bunny is just beautiful, the watercolor paintings of a mother and child are fanciful and loving, and seem to come straight from a child's imagination.The theme is especially helpful for clingy children, reassuring them there will always be enough love to sustain them. The Big Red Barn is simply the most enchanting book of farm animals I have ever seen, with lively colors and a story that intrigues my daughter so much, this is the first book she was content to sit down with and "read" all alone.
