Summary: It was truly a Masterpiece!
Review: Holes was a book like no other: almost as good as Harry Potter, if not, better. Holes is about a young boy named Stanley who gets sent to a Juvinial camp called Camp Green Lake. There, the boys have to dig one hole a day for an 18-month span. The book is funny, entertaining, and with each chapter, you get left with a mystery. I could not put this book down for a minute, and I would suggest it to any reading level.

Summary: Thinking "Outside the Box"
Review: Holes was a book unlike any other I have read in my entire life. It delves deep into the thought processes behind juvenile detention centers and punishments given to minors as a way to correct their behavior. It also connects several different parts of the story and relies on thinking "outside the box" to catch the symbolism throughout the book. I would reccommend this book to teens that do not usually like to read because this might change their minds, but anyone can enjoy it.

Summary: Filling in the Holes
Review: Holes was a compelling masterpiece of writing. It was one of the best books I ever read. I would recommend this book to anyone 10 or older. The reading was not hard but the details were superb. This book was a big circle, every detail and flashback means something later in the book. It was so good that while reading it with my class I was often tempted to read ahead. If your looking for a all-around good book this is your book.

Summary: Holes
Review: Holes was a confusing book, but once you got the gist of it, it became very enjoyable. Louis Sachar blends two storylines together to make on incredible book.

Summary: Holes was a comical, and emotional book.
Review: Holes was a funny, and emotional book. I enjoyed it very much. I got to wondering if there is really a place like Camp Green Lake really out there. I was on the edge of my seat for most of the book. I liked the story within a story. That was really intresting. I could picture the book in my head. I could see things like Stanley loosing weight from all the hole digging. And I could see Zero eating the peaches under the old boat. I really enjoyed this book. And I'd like to thank my teacher for reading it to us. Thank you!!!!!!

Summary: Whadda Book!
Review: Holes was a good book about Camp Green Lake. The camp is not green and is not a lake. I did not think that this was such a great book for kids as it was for adults. It was very strange, and I didn't like the flashbacks because they made everything so confusing, so you didn't know if it was the present or the past. But other than that it was a good book.

Summary: Holes
Review: Holes was a good book because it was well writen and was interesting but could have been more interesting. This book has a lot of fate in it. Holes was easy to follow along with what the author was saying. It also showed you that somethings happen for a reason.

Summary: Best book I've read
Review: Holes was a great book but not from the start. Once Stanley is settled in Camp Green Lake, a camp for " bad boys," the book gets really good. This book has stories within stories within stories. It gets sort of confusing at some points in the story. The end of the book should keep you on the edge of your seat. There are some weak points in the story too like Sachar (the author) rushed some parts. Esspecialy at the end. This book has lots of characters and is a very exciting book. Anyone who reads this book should love it like I did. :-)
