Rating: Summary: triumphs over all books Review: holes is possibly one of the best books written for kids. It tells about Stanley Yelnats, and how he is sent to Camp Green Lake for a crime he never commited. At first I was hesitant to read this book. It was confusing at first because of two different stories being told at the same time. But it ended up being strangely fascinating. I couldn't put it down. If you want to read at least one good book in your life, read Holes.
Rating: Summary: You can't put it down! Review: Holes is really a great book! Once I started reading it, I couldn't stop! Some of the boys' nicknames are a little strange, though. Overall it's a GREAT book! You kind of feel sorry for Stanley when nothing goes his way, but then you end up cheering him on and hoping he'll make it! I give it 5 stars!

Rating: Summary: Holes is the best book I ever read Review: Holes is the best book I have ever read. It is about a young boy named Stanley Yelnats who supposedly stole Clyde Livington's shoes. The setting takes place in Texas at Camp Green Lake. The main characters are Stanley, Zero,Warden, Magnet, and Armpit who are all in Camp Green Lake. Each day the boys had to dig holes 5 feet deep and 5 feet wide. Zero tells Stanley, "The thing everyone dreams of is to dig a nice big hole but after the 3rd hole here the fun is taken out of it." You might think a book about a camp would be boring but in Holes Louis Sachar changes each chapter. Sachar keeps on adding new characters. It makes the book more interesting. I would recommend this book for grades 4-5 because there are some challenging words. Sixth graders might find the plot a little bit below them. This is a book worth reading, especially if you love to solve puzzles.
Rating: Summary: This is the greatest book I've ever read! Review: Holes is the best book I have ever read. It is also the funniest book I have ever read. I can read this book a million times because I liked it so much. If a sequel of this comes out, I would be one of the first people to buy it. I sure hope a movie comes out for this book. My favorite stories were the ones about "Kissin' Kate Barlow." I like it when an author just takes time in a book and talks about something else like the past. Some of the stories were really cool like the time Kissin' Kate Barlow hid the treasure and got bitten by a yellow spotted lizard. My other favorite part is when Zero and Caveman survive on "God's thumb" (a mountain in the shape of a thumbs up sign). It was amazing they could get water just by digging very deep in the sand. Those are some reasons Holes is my favorite book. I would recommend this book to everybody in fourth grade and higher. I would recommend this book because it is easy to read. It is also very funny. It is very fun to read also. It is very nice to read in your spare time. My whole family has read it, and they all agree that Holes is a great book.
Rating: Summary: preview Review: Holes is the best book I have ever read. Stanley gets blamed for robbing Clyde Livingstone's shoes. He got sent to Camp Green Lake where he makes friends and finds treasure that his grandfather was robbed by Kissing Kate. Stanley's family is cursed by a lady which Stanley's great-great grandfather forgot to take her up the mountain. If you want to know what happens read Holes.
Rating: Summary: Holes. Read it! Review: Holes is the best book I have read so far. This book is a combination of love, friends, action and this book is written in such a creative way it is amazing how he did it all alone. This book made me feel like I was in it and the "whole" book is so well written. The beginning of the book comes back to the end. Like the past comes into the future. The best part about this book is that it catches your attention in every paragraph and it makes you think about life and what is so interesting about it. If you don't understand what I mean, just read the book! I recommend this book to more boys then girls, and to anyone who wants to know the true meaning of friendship.
Rating: Summary: "Holes" Review: Holes is the best book I've ever read! The book is about a boy named Stanley Yelnats. He is convicted of stealing a famous baseball player's shoes from an auction for poor children. He can chose between going to jail or going to Camp Green Lake, a correctional facility. He choses to go to Camp Green Lake. There they say that a bad boy who digs a hole every day will turn into a good boy, but Stanly thinks they're making them dig for another reason. Some of the characters are Mr.Pendanckey, who is the group counselor, Mr.Sir a very mean man who works there and says "Your not in the Girl Scouts." The boys there have nicknames, some of them are Zero, Magnet, and Zigzag. They stand up for Stanly at different times in the story. This is the best book I've ever read!
