Review: Holes is an excellent book by Louis Sachar and we give it four stars. Holes is a book about a boy (Stanley) that got sent to a detention camp for a crime he didn't commit. His friend Zero(Hector Zeroni) ran away, soon Stanley runs away too. Stanley finds Zero, they work together to survive. Stanley tells Zero to come back to camp(camp Green Lake the Detention camp). And Stanley hatches a plan to tell the warden that they will find Kate Barlow's(a famous criminal) jewels. Before they tell the warden they find the treasure which belongs to Stanley's great great grandfather. Read this book to find out what happens to Stanley and Hector! Summary: Totaly Cool
Review: Holes is an excellent book! It's about a kid, Stanley Yelnats, and his no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing-great-great-grandfather! Stanley is accused of something he didn't do. He ends up going to court. The judge gives him two choices: jail or Camp Green Lake. Stanley and his parents choose Camp Green Lake. Stanley is sentenced to stay for over one year. As a "camper" of Camp Green Lake Stanley is required to dig a hole five feet deep and five feet wide in every direction. Stanley ends up going on a deadly adventure. Then something amazing happened, Stanley...... I give this book five stars for comedy, sadness, and an all around good book.

Summary: Holes
Review: Holes is an excellent book!! It was funny and you don't know what will happen next in the story. Louis Sachar is a wonderful author. I'm glad I chose this book! Stanley, the main character in the story, is a boy who gets in trouble for "stealing" Clyde Livingston's shoes!! Stanley is sent to Camp Green Lake which doesn't have a lake! It's a camp where boys who have stolen things go "to learn from their mistakes". Stanley blames it all on his no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing great-great-grandfather. While he's at camp, he finds a gold colored tube which he thinks is either a gun capsule or a lipstick tube but he's not sure. He goes on alot of adventures and finds out alot about his life, family, and his no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing great-great-grandfather. But you will have to find out more about the book for yourself!! So READ THE BOOK!!!!!

Summary: Holes by Louis Sachar
Review: Holes is an excellent book, and it isn't difficult to see why it won the Newbary Award. It is a brilliant story, and it is one of Louis Sachar's best books that he has writtten. It is full of wit and cleverness. The story revolves around a handful of characters, but its main focus is on Stanley Yelnats IV. After being wrongly accused of a crime he is sent to a correctional facility callled Camp Green Lake.(There's no lake.) It is in the middle of the hot desert, where the kids had to dig a hole everyday to improve character. Stanley, there at the camp discovers his friends Zero, X-Ray, Armpit, Zizgzag, Magnet, and Squid. There is also the Warden, who is probably the meanest person you'll read about. As Stanley digs holes in Camp Green Lake, the author also describes the past. The stories in the past informs us about Kate Barlow, Sam the onion man, Trout Walker, and Stanley's ancestors. Slowly discovers the secrets of Camp Green Lake, and brings the past to connect with the present in this book about destiny and fate.(You'll see why when you read the book.) To learn more, read this good book. I recommend the book to anyone who wants to read a good book.

Summary: * MY**** HoLes Review
Review: Holes is an excellent book,in which you travel from world to world. The main character is Stanley Yelnats (his name is a palindrome!), his great grandfather is Elya, who is also know as Stanleys no-good-dirty-rotton-pig-stealing-great-great-grandfather. Then their is Kissin' Kate Barlow(Katherine Barlow)who is an outlaw that robbed Stanleys great grandfather. The worlds eventualy all tie back together. NOW TO THE STORY-Stanley has to go to Camp Green Lake, in which they say, "Your not in the Girl Scouts anymore"OR IS Camp Green Lake a Girl Scouts Camp???? You'll have to read to find out. Holes is a really great book in which Sachar switches worlds for you so that eventually you will see some connections. The book Holes has no bad points because Holes is like a puzzle and every piece ends up being there. In the end NO piece is missing -Louis Sachar really does fill in the Holes. I recommend the book Holes, this is a "Don't put me down" book!!

Review: Holes is an excellent piece of children's literature! I just couldn't stop reading it. Louis Sachar does an excellent job describing Stanley Yelnats' experience at a camp for bad boys. Stanley runs into a bit of problems which leads to plenty of adventure. I was very sorry when I came to the last page. Holes is one of those books that you wish would last forever. What a book!

Review: Holes is an exciting book to read . You'll be surprised how many connections there are if you buckle down and read. You'll be surprised once u think u figured out whats happening either the time period changes or the setting does. Thats why this book is exciting. Pay attention to sayings, objects, or things that happened. these things might appear later on in the book. Or might lead to a mystery. Can u solve the mysterys in holes? Or most importantly can u figure out whos related to who, and what period of time thier in. Summary: A giant puzzle put together before the reader's eyes
Review: Holes is an extremely unique book. Most people, when reading the first few chapters, would think that a story about a boy digging holes is pointless and dull. Holes doesn't dwell on the single subject for the whole time though. It then goes through history, of Stanley Yelnats, and of Camp Green Lake, a juvenial correctional facility in which Stanley is mistakenly thrown into. One reads of how the camp really once had a lake, and Stanley's family is very much related to how the camp and its ways came to be. Soon the reader notices exactly how every detail falls into place, and how history repeats itself in a way so magnificent, it is unbelievable. Yet the book is written in such a natural style that it is in fact quite believable. After the last chapter it becomes noticeable that Holes is a giant puzzle that by reading is magically put together. Holes is a masterpiece that I think is good for anyone over the age of nine. It's about as good as the Harry Potter series and is just as appealing. It is more serious and more charming than the previous Louis Sachar books. If any book deserves the Newberry Medal, Holes does.
