Rating: Summary: interesting Review: Holes is an adventure story. It was about the adventure of a boy named Stanley. The story was very weird but interesting. It has all those weird characters in it, such as some boys named X-ray, zigzag and Zero; also the setting and descriptions were great. This story taught me how to not give up on hope no matter what kind bad conditions you have.
Rating: Summary: Moving and Eye-opening Review: Holes is an amazing book about friendship and loyality. It also explains crime from a child's point of view. This book is one of my all time favorites next to Roald Dahl books and Harry Potter! I would recommend this book to anyone who would be interested in reading a funny, detailed, and fulfilling book. I fell that having two stories in a book is a great way to keep kids interest. I loved this book and will recommend it to all of my friends and I hope many others will too.

Holes teaches you determination and spirit has a young boy and a friend he makes while serving at a camp after being accused of stealing sneakers which were going to be sold for charity strive to escacpe the hardships they face. Thirst and exhaustion lurk in the future everyday as the prisoners of the camp are forced to dig a giant hole everday. The boys determination and spirit act as a role model for readers. An outstanding read for all!
Rating: Summary: Holes Review: Holes is an amazing book of destiny and friendship. The main character, Stanley Yelnats, is an overweight child who is always teased and has no friends. One day, as Stanley is walking home from school, a pair of shoes falls of a bridge and hits Stanley in the head. But these aren't ordinary sneakers. These sneakers belong to a Texas Ranger baseball player named Clyde Livingston (a.k.a. Sweet Feet). Stanley decides to take the shoes home because his dad needs shoes so he can invent a way to recycle old sneakers. But he has no idea of what consequences lye ahead.... 18 months in Camp Green Lake digging 5ft. by 5ft. holes. Holes is an addictive book, once you pick it up, you can't put it down.
Rating: Summary: Holes is the book for YOU! Review: Holes is an amazing book that every person will enjoy, no matter what genre they have interests in. Holes is a story about a young boy, Stanley Yelnats, who is sent off to a boys' detention center. Everyday at Camp Green Lake, these boys dig 5x5x5 holes in a dried up lake. While attending Camp Green Lake, Stanley matures quite a bit and makes friendships with other boys. Throughout the novel, there are many flashbacks to the camp over 100 years before. After figuring out a mystery, Stanley travels through a wild adventure. Stanley is trying to save a friend, while at the same time try to save his own life. At the end, everything comes together and Stanley becomes a hero.It doesn't matter what reading level you're at, Holes is the book for you!
Rating: Summary: Dig Into the Book Review: Holes is an amazing book.It is the type of book that you can`t stop reading. I like the way the author is telling the story and he starts anotherone and tells bothe of them at the same time. I also like the way the book ends. When you think you know the ending the whole story changes and you have a surprise. I reccomend it to any type of people with any age. It is a really good book.
Rating: Summary: Simply Perfect-By... Review: Holes is an amazingly clever book with surprises in every corner. At the end you're wondering who's related to who and what belongs to who. Being a long book, it is only fair to praise the point that it never bores you. Wanting to be a writer/literature teacher myself, it was quite an experience to read Holes. Except for some open ends, this book is literaly perfect. There are three main parts, or settings, of Holes that are all full of riviting tales of sad souls searching for the truth, and the past. The first setting is Elya's world, where Elyas' love for Myra Menke is defeated by Myras' Fathers' love for profit. My personal favorite setting, the world of "K. K. B.," is a story of two lovers, love's strength, and the strong revenge of true love. In the final, present-time setting, a young, mentally abused boy named Stanley faces his ancestors'problems, and some of his own. I suggest you start reading reading reading. Vacancies don't last long at Camp Green Lake...or the library shelf.
Rating: Summary: Holes Review: Holes is an amazingly good book and I enjoyed reading it. The fact that it was based on digging holes in the desert didn't impress me at first, but it keeps you interested and is definately worth reading. Holes is about a boy named Stanley Yelnats who is accused of stealing tennis shoes from a famous basketball player who had donated them to raise money for the poor. He gets the choice of going to jail or Camp Green Lake. He chooses the camp with no idea what he is getting into. There is no lake, instead a vast are of desert where he and the other boys there are told to dig a hole every day to "build character". They are instructed to report anything they find while digging to the person in charge and maybe get a day off if that person likes it. When Stanley finds a piece of what looks like gold with initials carved in it a long line of events begin that keep you reading and wanting to know more about Stanley and the rest of the boys at Camp Green Lake.
Rating: Summary: It's a small world Review: Holes is an awesome book! At first I thought this book was going to teach me about different ways to dig a hole. The author has a great imagination to come up with such an awesome story! The way he makes almost every thing connect is really interesting. If you are the type of person who judges a book by it's cover then you can't do that for this book cause it's awesome! So don't miss out on this opportunity to read this Book.Take this advice and read IT!!!
