Sachar uses great detail in depicting the scenes.He has a great
beginning and a great middle because in the middle all the questions that you have in the beginning are answered.The end isn't too great though because he leaves you hanging with a lot of
questions, and for people who don't like books where it leaves you hanging I suggest that you don't read it. This book was so good, I want them to make a second one.I would recommend this book
for kids aging from 9-12.

Review: Holes is a great book,I recommend it for all mystery lovers.It is packed with questions you'll be guessing till the trut is reaveled.This book get's better every page so you won't want to put it down.It switches time to the past,during the past you'll see links to the future telling ypu secrets about camp green lake(a camp where bad kids go)(Stanley go's there)(Stanley's the main character).I assure you you'll love this book,my opinion is the last parts the best.But who knows,maybe you won't want to read this book,you decide!

Review: Holes is a great book. I liked the way the book kept me in suspension. I read this book in my read 180 class and while i'm home i'm always thinking about what's going to Happen next. In the book there's a perfect combination between the past and the present. The past: the treasure searched by the warden parents. The present: the warden pretends to make the bad boys dig holes for a type of detention for what they did wrong, but was really making them dig for the treasure. Stanley was thrown in jail because of an act he did not commit. He met a boy name Hector Zeroni whom was the one who commited the act that stanley did not do. The two begun to find clues. When the mistery begin to unfold, the warden started to chase after them. At the end they found the treasure and Stanley and hector was free. Stanley and Hector received a sum of money. Stanley return to school. He was fat before he went to Camp Green Lake , but now he's musculous. Some people had difficulty to believe it was him. If you need a realy adventurous book, i suggest you Holes. Read the book you'll see what i'm talking about. Trust me you'll love it just like i did.

Review: Holes is a great book. I loved it! If you have never read it I really think you should! It is a tale of friendship, life, and living. Stanley is the main character. He has been sent to camp Green Lake to dig holes as a punismentfor stealing shoes. He blames the whole situation on his great, great, pigstealing Grandfather. He has to sleep in the bed that a boy named barf bag had slept in. He has been told that if he finds anything interesting in his hole to turn it in to the Warden. Then a guy named X-ray tells him to give what Stanley finds to him. Stanley does find something, but will he give it to X-ray so he gets a day off or the Warden and Stanley gets the day off. To find out you will have to read this 5 star book. HOLES

Review: Holes is a great book. I think you will like the book also. When I was reading I couldn't put the book down because it is so good. The book is about Stanley Yelnats who goes to a Camp for " bad boys." Stanley steals a pair of shoes. The story is a story within a story. You don't understand understand that because you have to read the book. It is a mystery and adventure book. You meet a lot of different characters. So I think you will love the book.

I bet you are wondering about Green Lake Camp but I can not tell. You must read it to find out! Green Lake Camp's evil warden is looking for something mysterious. May it be black gold? Who knows what it is? You must read it to find out! I like the book even though it has no pictures.
